No one else has started this and with 2 weeks to go until Opening Day I figured I might as well.

Cutting and pasting the rules from last year:

OK, here are the rules, as per usual:

-You can't pick someone that's already been picked.

-The player has to be on a MLB active roster during the regular season (if they're in the minors it doesn't count.)
-Put your choice in bold.

I'll hold off making my choice for a bit

Bob Montgomery's Helmet Hat won last year with his pick of Michael Pineda

Jeez, I think I want a do over on my pick - any TB pitchers left to select?

ST. PETERSBURG -- Nathan Eovaldi has loose bodies in his right elbow, and his status as the starter for the fourth game of the season is in question.

Eovaldi, who is returning from his second Tommy John surgery, had a superlative spring, hitting 98 mph in the sixth inning of his last outing. It is not yet known whether the injury will require surgery.

Already this spring the Rays have had two pitchers, Brent Honeywell and Jose De Leon, undergo Tommy John surgery.

I might have to start picking catchers going forward - have been a few in recent years....

MIAMI — Travis d’Arnaud can catch just about everything, except a break when it comes to his health.

The Mets catcher was diagnosed with a partial tear of the ulnar collateral ligament Wednesday, according to the team, and may need Tommy John surgery. The 29-year-old d’Arnaud was placed on the disabled list and Tomas Nido was recalled from Double-A Binghamton to replace him.
