And drugs is alot worse than getting a fucking happy ending.
Unless, of course, it's being provided by a woman forced into doing so by those who brought her into the country illegally.

The sex act itself is not the issue here

Roger Goodell says that Tom Brady was generally aware that Kraft is a little sleaze and so he's being suspended.
Well....Bart Scott on WFAN just referenced Spygate, Deflategate, and Aaron Hernandez, and he said that you can't punish a billionaire with a fine, so the only way to punish them is to start taking away first round draft picks.

He was dead serious.

Look, I don't have a problem if they throw the book at Kraft, but the minute they start issuing FOOTBALL penalties to a completely non-football type thing (like losing draft picks), I'm gonna lose it. (not that anyone cares about me losing it)

It is mind-boggling that society has had thousands of years to deal with the oldest profession and has just continued to sweep it under the rug and hope it goes away. It's not going away. Legalizing with regulations would likely cut down on trafficking, but it's still an issue in Amsterdam.

I feel bad for Nick Cafardo’s family as this developing story certainly detracts media attention from yesterday’s tragedy

Credit cards, I would assume.

There's no incentive to use cash at a place like this unless you thought you were literally being filmed or the "masseuse" was an undercover cop.
Uh, except for not wanting your name on record at a place where you were committing a crime. I'd argue that there's no incentive not to use cash at a place like this.

Tiger Woods has an, ah, history, lives in Jupiter and would qualify as a bigger name than Kraft.
That area is rich athlete offseason central, so there are a bunch of fun possibilities (including Michael Jordan).

Leaving in a bit to the studio :)
They've got a network legal analyst on: charges filed this AM, incident occurred a month ago. And did she just say they have TWO documented incidents/charges? It sure didn't sound like two different charges from the same incident.

In the simulacrum
I certainly don't think business as usual is sensible, but it is also not self evident that legalization is some some sort of transparently more equitable and just way forward.

As for Kraft? Our bumbling, senile, seemingly drunk grandpa should seriously get his shit together. How can this possibly be his best option, under any circumstances? For a long time, I've found his act a bit tired. This does not dissuade me from my position.

None. Once he heard "Jupiter" Goodell made a fart sound, declared he didn't have interplanetary jurisdiction, and went back to his coloring book.
I mean, I LOL’d, but I’m pretty sure Roger thinks he has intergalactic powers related to all things even tangentially related to football...

Personally I hope the NFL does try to take away picks, then the Pats finally sue the league and we get to discovery and find out about all of the crazy shit that has gone on, leading to the destruction of the NFL and the Pats going out as the final champs.

Bart Scott in WFAN is saying Kraft needs to be suspended for at least a year and they should take their whole draft away.
I think they should take the last few Super Bowl titles away from them. Brady should also be suspended for at least the first 8 games next year.

I think this is probably the most likely outcome.

My brother lives near where this went down so the rumblings he heard (via a client who is connected to the FBI) were undoubtedly this.

He messaged me on Feb 5th saying

"Not sure how viable this is, but a client of mine knows someone in the FBI well, and apparently Robert Kraft is about to be indicted for something big. I'm assuming it's business related but not sure"

I don’t understand how pressing women into the industry would stop if on were to legalize prostitution. I’m missing a step, even with @Deathofthebambino ‘ explanation.
If it's legalized then, the theory goes, the places are inspected, etc. Which means records are being kept and reviewed.

While that doesn't stop, say a restaurant from hiring an illegal immigrant, there is the chance that they can get caught because they're under the eye of a regulating body.

From a strictly Pat's fan perspective, I'm not realistically expecting anything too damaging resulting from a misdemeanor, save a few tired jokes.

However, I'm not excited about any crap like this that might result in any loss of power -no matter how minor - for the ownership. How stupid.

Putz.

@DrewDawg and I think the idea is that it also causes significantly less demand for illegal prostitution... so, less trafficking.

Miami (oh, Miami!)
Nothing up at the Palm Beach County clerk of court's website yet.

It'll be interesting, and they're always amusing reading. I think my favorite BS typo in a prostitution sting affidavit was: Based on my training and experience, I know that "manual manipulation of the male genitals" is a term used to refer to a "hand job."

From a moral standpoint, I strongly disagree. From an NFL discipline standpoint, however, you’re probably right. The league insists on policing its players’ use of recreational drugs (not just PEDs), so they couldn’t very well turn a blind eye to an owner’s drug use.

If Kraft is caught on film, he’s going to end up pleading to something, which means he won’t skate like Jerry Jones did. But unless there are damning facts we don’t know yet, I think Irsay’s punishment is the absolute maximum that Goodell might hand down.

We recently discussed in another thread whether Kraft’s judgment was slipping in his old age. He might, for the sake of his legacy, play up that angle and transfer control of the club to Jonathan, which presumably would render any league punishment moot.
