You can do whatever you want. If you get called entitled for it, deal with it. Don't call it "trolling" because you don't like the response of people who value championship more than you do and are capable of forgiving people who deliver them.
Entitled are fans who feel like something is owed to them, or just assume their teams will always win. I don’t think either really applies here. I don’t think Price owes me anything. I just think he is a massive asshole and don’t really like him. I am happy he helped the deliver the 2018 title. I’d be happier watching a team of assholes win title after title than watch the Sox loss 90 games every year. There’s no doubt about that. But it was a chore to root for Price. Not sure why you feel this is such a controversial take.

Boston fans don't care about one measly little championship anymore. What about the three years he DIDN'T win it all here? What a bum!

Bernie Carbo is still beloved around here because he hit a clutch home run that time 45 years ago when we almost won a championship. But Price is hated by many Red Sox fans. The spoiled, ungrateful ones.
Bernie Carbo's one-year contract for 1975 was $50K. Including the subsidy, Price's big role in the 2018 WS cost $166M.

Nice post BtR.

Also this-
Price became the first pitcher since 1972 to start World Series games no more than four days apart while also pitching in relief between those games.
Absolutely a Red Sox WS hero.

Thank You, David Price!

David Price didn’t play a role in winning a title, he was one of the primary driving forces in securing it. After all of the bullshit about his lack of intestinal fortitude or how overpaid he was, the man took the mound on the brightest stage with the stakes at their peak and delivered. 6 shutout innings in Houston, 6 innings of 2 run ball in Game 2 of the World Series, and a masterful 7 innings of 1 run pitching in the clinching Game 5 on the road in LA. David Price had a legitimate argument to be the World Series MVP.

David Price will always be one of my favorite players and I have nothing but gratitude towards him for the time he spent with the Red Sox and what he accomplished here. He was brought here to help us win the World Series and he did just that.
This, plus the Patek post about WS starts 4 days apart plus relieving are why David Price gets a thank you from me.

Really think he should have been the WS MVP, not Pearce. Biggest moments in the biggest stage, and he was just spectacular. The Machado punch out by Sale to end it gets shown all the time, but for me Price was the guy.

Thank you David Price!
