Whatever man, you do you.
Don't get me wrong, they made the right call, just seems funny to say we need a nationwide curfew to battle Covid but then hey, never mind this match is too good to send fans away.

Agreed with this.

Joker turned the tide again. Very impressive performance here.

I don't really think that's true, but with what was at stake (the alltime Grand Slam totals), it was a pretty great match. Both players had more than their normal share of sloppy play, but also I think some of that was that the greatness of their opponent pushed them into it.

It's certainly not that , but amazing tennis. That said, you can certainly make the argument the 3rd set was the greatest set ever played

The amount of work these guys have to do to win a point is just insane. there are so many points where there are 5-6 points that feel like that should be winners, but just arent. I know the racket has a lot to do with it, but the defensive aspect of the games in this the greatest era, is just so far above when I was growing up int he 80s/90s

Yeah, the ground they both covered on some of those points was just ridiculous.

I was pretty surprised at 1) how much Novak focused on Nadal's backhand, to the point of not hitting to what looked like wide open space on the forehand side pretty frequently and 2) how well it worked.

Stef has been really good. Really solid. And his FH is doing a lot of damage even if he’s not going for risky shots.

Obviously there is a huge difference between Djokovic and Zverev, but Tsitsipas won the first two sets in the semi also, lost the next two, and won the fifth.

Joker's mental toughness makes him the favorite at this point but anything can happen.
It's a shame Longwood lost its stop on tour, much less its major status. Great little venue, and Boston > New Haven.

There we go, off to the 5th.

Personally I'm not taking anything for granted in this match after Novak broke at 5-5 in the first and then immediately got broken back.

I saw so much great tennis and tennis players (late 60s to early 80s,) at Longwood and on 3 surfaces. The setting was so intimate, it was a tremendous venue.

Yup. I went to a few events in the 80's and 90's. Would be great if they could bring it back. Bud Collins loved that place too, RIP.

Big gut check win for Tsitsipas in the first game. I think he would have lost the match pretty quickly if he hadn't been able to pull it out. Now he needs to threaten Novak's serve.
