Well not sure what would be laughable. He is not suggesting they play in mixed events. Do we need 2 separate governing bodies, or could efficiencies be gained, and everyone benefit from one ruling bodyWell, I'm not a Scotsman, so...
Meanwhile, today Federer suggested the ATP and WTA tours should merge, and he's not getting laughed off of Twitter. Ummmm.

Actually, she down 0-40 at 4-4 in the 2nd and had to save four break points in that game in total. I caught a little bit of the match, and Serena looked very tentative, although in fairness it's a very weird setting and setup - the tournament is being played at a normal tennis club, and "Center Court" has one small area of covered seating on one side of the court. Not that there are any fans to watch anyway, but still.Serena was down *15-40 late in the 2nd
I could be wrong, but the tourneys aren't having nearly as many lines-people to call balls/lines. So I believe the chair umpire sees automatically whether a shot was in or out. So if they need to reverse it, they do it right away. There is no need for a challenge as basically Hawkeye is calling it in or out.So I just watched a bit of the Venus match and the announcer was going on and on about how much of a waste it was to challenge calls because they weren't going to get one overturned and they'd learn to not waste their time.
Why?
I don't watch a lot of tennis but I've watched enough to see plenty of calls reversed. Are they doing something different this year?
