+1Yay we win finally, great job keeping up with this @Coachster
I check in every day or so to see how the virtual sox are doing. I've been waiting for someone less lazy than me to start posting dirty water photos for every victory.

Thanks for posting the links on the games. I enjoy even play-baseball right now. I also have a question. I am just curious, but does Stat-o-matic have a page with everyone's stats on it?Damn. We beat the MFY's again. Martin Perez is f'ing MASTERFUL, and Austin Bryce, Heath Hembree and Colton Brewer hold down the fort for the win.
We're 7 games under .500, 3.5 behind the MFY's and 1.5 up over the Jays. (We're 12 behind Tampa.)
This would have been the Sunday night game-o-the-week. In normal times, it would have been an absolutely beautiful night for a game, even with our shitty 2020 team.

Some weird differences between the B-Ref version and S-O-M;I think you can navigate to what you're looking for from this page.
For what it's worth, Baseball Reference is also doing a simulated season, but with the Out of the Park game. The Sox aren't doing any better in their version, but in B-Ref fashion, they have a ton of stats in a much more user friendly format than Strat-o-matic.
In the B-Ref season, the top OPS guys for the Sox are Bogaerts, Devers, Moreland, and JBJ. Jeter Downs has been called up and hit well in 6 games as well. Neither simulation seems to like JD Martinez all that much, which I find strange.
NY is doing much better in the BR simulated version linked above, but SEA is leading the AL West in that one, so it's pretty hard to take seriously even a tiny bit. Also the Dodgers are 56-18 in the BR one (!!!!).The silver lining I take away from this shitty simulated season is that most knowledgeable Red Sox fans assumed we'd be mediocre or worse this year, whereas if the MFY were only two games above .500 at this point in the season Yankees fans would be absolutely livid.
I don't recognize 4 of those names. The streak continues. Alex Verdugo homers in the bottom of the 17th to send the Fenway crowd home happy against the Cards. Here's who pitched for us. How many of these guys do you actually know?
Martin Perez
Brice
Hembree
Osich
Brewer
Workman
Barnes (he walked the bases loaded and gave up a run in the 11th. )
Brasier
Springs
Hart.

We pull a game ahead of Toronto as they lost to the Angels at the Rogers center. Hey- we're only 4.5 back in the wild card!
It’s practically guaranteed.100 wins is looking closer and closer folks.
Both his Strat-o-Matic knees are fine. But this isn't real life, remember.Any reports on Pedroia's health?

The sim-Sox are going to get it rolling just in time for the season to be interrupted by real games. That's the kind of outcome that would be de rigueur for the franchise pre-2004..500 baby!
He recovered quickThis is all they gave us today:
Eduardo Rodriguez gave the Red Sox 6 innings while allowing only 1 run as the Red Sox take down the Pirates 3-2.
Feels like Trot Nixon’s career. The sim-Sox are going to get it rolling just in time for the season to be interrupted by real games. That's the kind of outcome that would be de rigueur for the franchise pre-2004.
