Anyone remember the stratomatic simulation that Jon Miller and Ken Coleman did during the 1981 strike? They’d actually broadcast the games as they played..

Hey, if you are doing a thread on playing the Red Sox season using Strato-matic then at least provide some game scores. After all, this will have to suffice for my Sox fix this year.

Can we game thread these and bitch about how the manager has blown bullpen management and we'd be undefeated if he'd have half a brain.

Sox win again! Workman with 4th save. Chavis, JBJ, JD, and Pillar go yard.

I noticed something in the lingo used in the Strat-O-Matic box score: "Brandon Workman preserved the game for Perez...". It dawned on me that this (preservation) is a more accurate description than "save", which implies a rescue-of-sorts. Games preserved? All-time preservation leader? I kind of like the sound of that!

Cold rainy day for the opener. Typical.

Roenicke is burning Workman up. There won't be anything left by mid-season. Good this isn't for real.

One question; at some point will the Strat-o-matic people just put Alex Verdugo in the lineup, or are we stuck with Pillar for the duration?

Yeah, most sims track injuries, so he should be back eventually.
