Very different PSG club this year in terms of major names. Will be interesting to see what they do post-Mbappe, and who is available for them to try and make a big splash.

Yeah, if you only showed the replays of near misses and posts to a casual fan, they'd be convinced this was a 4-3 game.
This BVB victory seals a 5th team berth from Bundesliga in next year's UCL, which is likely to be...BVB.

BVB played a mostly disapointing Bundesliga season, so it's only fitting that they qualified for next year's CL in this competition, where they played much better. (Let's remember, that BVB won the group of death with PSG, Milan and Newcastle).
Bundesliga could even get a 6th CL spot for the next season if BVB stays 5th in the league (likely) AND wins the Champions League (quite unlikely, but a boy can dream...).
In this scenario - and only then - would the team in 6th place in the Bundesliga (probably Eintracht Frankfurt) get the additional spot in the 24/25 competition, since BVB would be qualified as the reigning champs.
It would be pretty funny for Dortmund to win the Champions League final against Bayern after years of ineptitude. That being said, we get two Der Klassickers every year and I generally want to see clubs from different countries facing off (that’s the point of European competition, isn’t it??).
I’m a biased La Liga fan though, and while I have no love for Real Madrid, I am acutely aware of what a UCL win means for clubs I do love. Athletic Club, the most unique major club in the world, would get into next season’s Champions League, and my beloved Real Betis would go to the Europa League. An all German final would put a sixth Bundesliga club in next season’s UCL. The fair counterpoint obviously is Eintracht Frankfurt have amazing fans.
I was in London 11 years ago when we (BVB) lost to Bayern in the CL final. I couldn't take that another time (even though I won't go to London this time).

I hear you man. I was just thinking how it'd tickle me if Harry Kane lost in the final to Dortmund and the outcast Sancho wins. It's not virtuous of me but I just like twisted narratives. I mean Harry Kane's not a bad lad, i wish him well, but the Universe japes as the Universe japes. But mainly, I just don't want Madrid to notch up another CL victory, hence my somewhat shallow yearnings for an all German final in London.
I think most of us never had a team we were really pulling for once it hit the semis. I did not want to see PSG win it. I definitely did not want a PSG-Real Madrid final- The Mbappe Cup would’ve been unbearable. So we’re left with storylines we like or random knock on effects of a winner that might impact us or the leagues we watch.
Now that PSG is out, I won’t really be upset.
