Watching this game, I am getting more and more confident that the Pats are going to beat either of these teams soundly.

That Bronco turns around and goes the other way he probably picks up the first

Wow, Steelers got lucky on that one. Thought that was a safety at first.

BTW, the Steelers absolutely blow at fielding punts.

Can someone with rewind capabilities check if a whistle blew? I could have sworn I heard one right about when Peyton picked himself up and threw it
I just re-watched a few times...looked like a slide, but I couldn't hear a whistle. Not sure if anyone else could pick it up.

that rule makes no sense that you gain yardage by muffing it backwards and recovering it

No, he doesn't---QB can give himself up. And did there.
I was trying to make 2 separate points, not to say that Allen needed to touch Peyton down after he slid. What I meant was that a) Peyton slid to give himself up and the refs blew the call and b) regardless of the refs fucking up, Allen fucked up and absolutely can't overrun immobile Peyton Manning in that spot, he completely overran the play against a statue.

i didn't think the manning turtle non-call was that bad. it wasn't like somebody pulled off from trying to hit him, nobody else was close to him except allen. and yes he does turtle like that routinely, but i don't really want refs trying to decide on a split second basis if a QB slipped or surrendered. proper to hold on to the whistle there, and once it happens it's not reviewable.
