Not sure if there's a thread about this anywhere, but since I just booked a tour for Candlestick Park (for 6/27 at 8:30pm, if anyone wants to join!), was wondering if you guys have ever gone on stadium tours worth checking out, and if you've gotten to see any neat things otherwise impossible to see for the general public. I've done Fenway a few times (including for a birthday party like 20 years ago), but - as far as I can remember - that's it. And I also don't remember the Fenway one being all that great; at least one of the times, there was something going on on the field, so we couldn't even walk the warning track. The Candlestick one has gotten pretty amazing reviews, so it's a no-brainer for me now that they're finally doing some outside of normal business hours. Beyond that, I really want to catch a tour of Lambeau when the Patriots make it out there this fall.

Biggest regret (so far) was not doing a Boston Garden tour way back when...

edit: in case anyone else is thinking about Lambeau this fall, here's the info on their tours...

In Colorado 2 years ago they showed me a dent in a table on the visiting clubhouse. It was from papi jumping on it in cleats after winning the world series. They kept the table. That was pretty awesome.

I enjoyed the Dodger stadium tour where they had all of the clubs mvp, Cy young and silver sluggers on display and got to hang in the same press box as Vin. Made me want to go to a game there quite badly.

I was at a conference in St. Louis back in 2006 and ducked out of the afternoon sessions to do a tour of "New Busch Stadium".  If you are there, look ahead of time for tickets, but I believe that I was able to just walk up and get a ticket on the spot.  This was the first year of the ballpark and it was really nice to see...the guides showed a lot of aspects that tried to incorporate the heritage of the original stadium and team history.  I was able to get on the field, which was probably the highlight.

The tour was definitely well worth it, and I have to say that the people and guides were super friendly.  When they found out I was a Red Sox fan, they actually went out of their way to congratulate the Sox on the 2004 World Series and explained how they tried to let the Red Sox fans that were there stick around to celebrate.  Definitely a classy group.

I've toured Fenway, Camden and AT&T this year.  AT&T was the best of the three while Fenway was the worst.  At AT&T they let us on the field, in the visitors batting cages and locker room as well as all the things we did at Fenway and Camden (press box, luxury box, etc...)

The only stadium tours I have ever been on was the Garden and Fenway.  Living 500 miles from Boston I didn't really get a chance to have a "final trip" to the Garden, but I did go on a tour.  It was great.  I believe all the games had been played.  Sitting in the stands of a basically empty Garden was a great last memory of the place.  They really let you take your time walking through the place.

The tour of Fenway was during the Baseball Winter Meetings.  The tour was cool, but it was definitely more of a cattle march with out much time to linger.  Also, it had snowed so they wouldn't let us on the field or even the track in front of the Monster.

I'd like to do tours of Oriole Park and NatsTown someday.  If I get to the left coast, I'd love to see the Stick or Dodger Stadium.  I assume the Stick is coming down soon??
