I’m sorry... English is a second language for me!
Then I'm sorry, but it doesn't hurt to learn more refinements of the language. I wish I were as good at a second language as you are!
Anyway, Heidi was all excited about Pearson on mlbn, noting he had hit 104 the other day. Edit: I'm watching on delay.

I know it's just meaningless spring training games, and I haven't had time to follow too closely yet, but whenever I check in it looks like our boys are getting their asses handed to them on a regular basis. Fair assessment?

I’m just messing...I was born in India but came here when I was 3 so I have no excuses. I actually got a 5 on the AP English exam 20 years ago but Microsoft word and texting have degraded my grammar so I apologize!!

Is it just me or is Mike Monaco really good? Like, I’d take him over OB some time very soon.
Yes, yes, yes. Unlike DOB, he doesn't say what we can all plainly see, and leaves a little space in the broadcast. Seems to be building some chemistry with Remy too.

So depressing to know the PBP status quo will be upon us soon.

One recommendation is to keep the exclamation points to a minimum. That way when you need them they'll have more impact!!!

In person observations from today’s game as I braved the odds that none of the 400 people with coronavirus out of 327 million Americans were sitting next to me.

Two great plays by Benintendi. One wall ball perfect throw to nail a runner at second. One diving catch charging in on a sinking liner.

Needless to say, Eovaldi looks great. He’s got all his pitches working. Fastball 96-98, a couple 99. Threw slider/cutter for strikes. Showed a curveball I don’t remember from before.

Taylor’s velocity is way down from last year. Mostly 92 on the stadium gun, with 1 94. He got his K’s in sliders. Was hit hard when contact occurred.

Valdez’s fastball does seem like it plays up. He’s got a fast and loose delivery that may hide the ball a bit. But he was definitely just ordinary. Nothing more than a shuttle option.

Castillo is blessed by the BABip fairy right now. It’s too bad he’s not a better hitter, because he’s fun to watch and root for.

Blue Jays: Pearson struggled with control and velocity varied between 96-99. He totally blew away Moreland, coming in after the slow slop from Thornton and whoever relieved him. The next guy they brought in, Merryweather, I think, was also consistently 97.

Travis Shaw was on the ball all day. Whatever ailed him last year seems fixed.

Maeda v. Perez.
I hope there's a decent infield behind Perez. The one time I've seen him, he got a lot of ground-balls the minor-leaguers couldn't handle.

Mazza sporting the old-time stirrup socks look. Looks like he is from the 1970s.
Gives up a run in less than an inning, and can't close out the game with a multi-run lead, just like so many Sox pitchers from the 70s.

Now 6-10 (12th in Grapefruit standings) with a -29 run differential.

I’m sure the story behind this photo is funny but I can’t for the life of me remember what it is.
That's from the Bizarro Seinfeld episode, where the bizarro Kramer was Feldman.

Another day of risking my life to attend Jet Blue. Despite the 1 in 500,000 chance that the person next to me would transmit the bubonic plague, I soldiered on.

Hall’s curveball may have high spin, but that doesn’t translate into hard to recognize or hit. He should not even be taking important innings at AAA.

Arauz has a really strong arm. Today, playing SS, He took a warm up throw from way behind third base/short left to first at the end of each half inning. Strike every time. Quite impressive.

Moreland looks very good. Lucroy hammered his double. Promising.

Feltman is yet another in a long line of pitchers who’ve entered the Red Sox organization throwing in the high 90s and quickly had their mechanics “fixed” such that they couldn’t break 95. He was 93-94 in his two batters. Looked like a shell of the dynamic arm he had last March. I don’t understand. Happens repeatedly.

Perez has good results. I think that’s primarily because the pitchers are still ahead of the hitters at this stage. Most of his K’s were looking not swinging. He was tricking people more than overpowering them. Remains to be seen how long his junk will play up.

North Port must be recruiting the Rays or some other ML team. They have seats in RC farther than any other stadium in Grapefruit League (I'm in the park but not there)

I get to see Chavis and Beni and 7 backups
(And the starters and Felix Hernandez for the Bravos

Roenicke using all the pitchers with W names: Weber, Workman, Walden.

1 post for a 4-time WS rematch. Wow.

I left really early. Finally lack of novelty of ST is wearing off on me.

Brewer with a 2.2 inning outing today. Interesting. Stretching him out to be a connector type?
