Burned . . . Blacklisted
300K views. No wonder Kokomo's is now closed. Can't survive that publicity. What on earth is a double-tapered shit?
Supposedly, This clip was found in the archive of a KC tv station and posted by an intern who found it funny.

That intern got in trouble, but has gone on to do a bunch of weird stuff- be a visible figure in editorial and video for a couple of good sized video game websites, work for WWE producing a podcast for The New Day, win a contest to become the first person married at the Las Vegas Taco Bell, got in a feud with Jose Canseco over self-published books.

Guy’s name is Dan Ryckert. Funny, interesting dude.

Wait that wasn't one of those Bad Lip Reading videos?

Wong better heal fast with his injured hamstring.

Cotillo:

According to a source with knowledge the contract, Alfaro’s minor league deal with the Red Sox includes an “upward mobility” clause on March 25. That clause, which differs from a standard opt-out, would allow Alfaro to secure a major league opportunity elsewhere if the Red Sox are not willing to give him one. If Alfaro has not been added to Boston’s 40-man roster by March 25, he may request that he become available to all other clubs in hopes that one of them has a major league spot for him. If there is interest, the Red Sox must either add Alfaro to their 40-man roster or allow him to go to another club within 72 hours of his request. If no other clubs have interest in adding Alfaro to their major league rosters, the Red Sox can keep him as a non-40-man player.

I'm not real good on the internet.....sorry. I watched the highlights of todays Boston/Phil game on Yahoo and it looked like it's the MLB site for Bos.. The commentary during Arroyo's HR's reminded me soooo much of M. Kay for the MFY that I had to turn the sound off. On another thread here, there's mentions of announcers that pretty much everyone dislikes. Is this the guy?

Thanks in advance for anyone answering this for me.

The game was on ESPN so if you’re referring to the tv broadcasters, those were not the usual Red Sox announcers.

Paxton, Pivetta, Kluber and Sale start the next 4 games. Kinda sorta starting to feel real. (I suspect our collective over-reactions will be in midseason form, however).

Not here
Paxton left with an injury. Didn't look serious, just a cramp or something.

The Sox are defending Joey Gallo with an outfield shift where they put Duvall in short right and forgo a left fielder.

It’s like 90 degrees today in Tampa. Looked like a textbook cramp and he seemed to be in good spirits. Doubt it’s anything

Red Sox All-Access Episode 2 dropped this morning

Highlight:

Devers: (to Yoshida) "You like Miami?"
Yoshida: "Many, many Latin"

This was fun to watch. Makes me wonder why MLB doesn't throw some sort of Hard Knocks show at least on MLB Network. With everyone always saying MLB has no recognizable stars, stuff like this is a fun way to see personalities and want to root for guys.

Who had March 3 in the Paxton Pulling something Pool? And speaking as someone who could lose a pound or 20, I sure would love a Trimmer Tristan. I think it would play into his Plan to Play 150 this season (I'm feeling quite alliterative today).

Frustrating, but not surprising. This seems pretty benign. My guess is he loses a week.

As always, when it comes to "too many" anythings, "these things usually take care of themselves."

Pivetta still hasn’t thrown yet either though…. Maybe he can be ready in 3.5 weeks, but being hit hard by Covid can really weaken some people for much longer than the symptoms last, obviously. Others bounce right back and it doesn’t seem to correlate totally to pre-Covid health.
What’s his latest status?
Edit- I see Pivetta is starting today actually

Some notes here in this Jennings roundup in the Athletic.

The Red Sox aren’t ruling out either Bello or Whitlock for Opening Day, but Alex Cora has gone out of his way a few times to point out that if Whitlock isn’t on the roster for Game 1, it probably won’t be because of a setback. The team is just moving slowly with him. Bello’s timetable is even less clear, but this Cora quote from Thursday has me leaning toward him also opening either on the injured list or in Triple A: “Obviously he’s behind, and you know how important he is. We’ve just got to be smart about him.”

Did he spill a beer on you at the ol' ballyard once or what? Yikes, it's a garden-variety roster projection by the guy who writes about the Red Sox for mlb.com.

Pretty sure the confusion is that the equivocal language comes from Coffee with the "trending" & "penciled in" stuff. The article doesn't say any of that...

First base (1): Triston Casas
The Red Sox proved their faith in the promising left-handed hitter -- ranked No. 2 among the club’s prospects by MLB Pipeline -- when they designated veteran Eric Hosmer for assignment in the offseason. Casas has a strong eye at the plate and could be in the mix for the AL Rookie of the Year Award.
Casas being the opening day starter at 1st was a done deal since last September.

I was going to post a clip in here, but honestly, it's really hard to watch. I'd be careful about watching it if you're squeamish.
