After a long one last night, the Sox win it in 15. A win is a win and I'm glad they didn't play a long one like that in Colorado

May as well keep rolling and giving themselves a chance to make the playoffs. More baseball is always better than less

Go Sox!

Per Speier, Juggalo Taylor will be the opener today. And while I have no indication nor proof of it, I believe Taylor is a secret Juggalo with ever fiber of my being.
Ohh my. Didn't we have another pitcher a couple years ago that we thought was a "jugglalo" too?

BTW, Taylor was a team mate of my nephew last year at Single A Visalia. Pretty good jump in a year. If you are a LHP/Loogy, there is always a place for you on a MLB roster.

We need the Sox to trade for Shark ASAP. It needs to happen for a variety of reasons.

Especially if you throw 96

These games are likely the playoff games we are going to get, after a fashion, this year, which is partially while I sailed on until 3:30 this morning. It was like a low rent version of the Eovaldi game in the World Series, but also a kind of regular season Game 7 in that if they lost, having expended that much to win—largely in bullpen arms—after gagging up two leads, that would have eliminated them in my estimation. There will be a month-long incarnation of a 3-1 series deficit, or as long as they can keep it around that sort of mark and feel, anyway. Their heads are barely above water and the ceiling is at scalp level. Cora needs to manage like that’s the deal, certainly, and yet he sat there with his thumb up his ass in the bottom of the ninth and left Martinez in in right. Cora has been somnolent a lot this year, like he’s still woozy from last season’s champagne fumes.

Cleveland lost 4-0 last night, too.

could get within 5 games of all three of the teams. of course, we need to keep winning, the biggest challenge... I assume Johnson is coming in after Taylor

Xander weirdness.

Peters needs to be ejected for ludicrously slow pace.

It's odd. I suggested using Taylor as an opener in a game thread a while back. But the timing seems odd, versus a team who saw him last night, on one of the few times he's struggled.

Cora in the pregame had a tone of "We're throwing crap against the wall here, so let's see."

5-4-3 would be fantastic right now.

Throw the same slider you threw to the lefty.

Taylor toying with the Angels. He had it under control all along.

Going into tonight's game, the Red Sox are 50 DPs behind the leading MLB club and are only ahead of 6 teams (two of which are just one behind). Although, last year, they were next-to-last.

Is it me or has Leon gotten really, really fat?

You’d think a marginal major leaguer would at least avoid the Pablo Sandoval diet plan.

that was shitty. Mookie probably runs that down.

JBJ is so cold though, you can't really say he should be in there against a lefty over Travis.
