A bloop and a blast from disaster. How TF do you even get to 3 balls in that situation, let alone walk two straight? Just freaking groove it when you're up 4 against guys who can't hit.

Cubs have lost three straight in SanFran. Falling off maybe? Maybe the return of a couple old friends who can be free agents at the end of the year? Hmmmmmm?

Workman experimenting to see what happens if you throw 13 consecutive American Legion curveballs in the majors.

Serious question: I know the Yankees have been disappointing, but how are they only drawing 20K people post Covid?!

MFY now below water by Pythag (-3), with the worst offense in the AL, just below the mighty Tigers. Might be time for a visit at NYYFans...

It’s a real treat to have gotten Whitlock from the MFY. I hope the stuff we are seeing from him translates next season in the rotation. Regardless, worst case of multi-inning relief ace isn’t too shabby either for a freebie pickup.

Dalbec would look really good a Worcester uniform right about now.
Marwin up 3rd in the inning. Perfect time for him to hit that homer.
Cue Bobby D hitting one off of Captain Shitbag in the 9th.
Stay on the pine, Barnesy!
6-9 getting it done tonight. GREAT GAME!!
I kind of want to go with Barnes just to nail this thing down without getting cute.
Workman is the perfect choice. It says to the MFY’s ‘ here’s a guy we just pulled from the scrap-heap to finish you off. You aren’t good enough to see our top guy.
The above quotes stood out as I caught up on the thread. Instead of going to shower, I felt compelled to stand in front of my bedroom telly and watch the top of the eighth. I wasn't entirely surprised when the bottom of the order performed well, because it was time. It was actually great timing. Then Workman came in to play Papelbon/Kimbrel/Gagne, every closer who ever drove up my BP.
