Bryan Shaw RP was mine

DD had picked Josh Vitters BP

Mike took Oliver Perez RP

And someone else took the immortal Bruce Chen

All I remember off the top of my head

I'm gonna be on a plane all day today, so I'll try my luck at a make-up pick, and hope he wasn't taken towards the end of the time loop.

One thing I wanted for this team was a young glove-first shortstop with an uncannily mellifluous name. With Adeiny Hechavarria and Erisbel Arruebarreuna taken, I'll go with:

Ehire Adrianza, BP

He's got a fearsome defensive reputation, and has shown good plate discipline in the minors. A utility guy who's young enough to have a chance at being more.

I'm going to take a 5th bench player.  A lefthanded hitter that can play a decent 3B, an excellent 1B, and may not hurt himself in LF.  He should hit for a decent average but probably doesn't have the power to be anything more than a bench player.  Although 25 year old hitters have developed power before.  BP Ryan Wheeler

All right, I'm taking a guy I've had on my list for many rounds.  Since no one else has taken him, I assume that means he's a terrible pick and my statistical scouting has let me down.  It also means that I'll have five lefties between my rotation and bullpen, which might be a problem -- but I prefer to think of it as being able to play matchups.  Anyway, I'm taking Dallas Keuchel - RP6.

I'll PM Scoops.

Wake had brought up the idea of a 1st come-1st serve thing. 3 more rounds doesn't seem feasible at this point but whatever is decided, I'm sticking around.

My Proposal: Auto-Select for all missed picks (please feel free to PM me ideas of players, I'd rather not have to find them all myself), and then it'll just be a free for all for the reserve slots, starting at a predetermined time.

I'll take Yoervis Medina to round out my bullpen.

I have three injured players that I'd like to replace whenever we get a chance to do that.

Do we want to have one person take on a team of someone that has dropped out and make the picks for that team?  I can pick up another team.  At the last chart update, end of round 25, these are the missing picks.
Jaylach-3  He has picked since being away and needs to catch up
ToeNash-1
SoxFan58-2
NJ Sox Fan-6
KFP-7
Bored Viewer-1
Kramerica-1

There might be others but I am willing to pick up a team and catch up on all of the picks if that decision is made.

I feel like I've got enough guys that I'm interested in tracking for the next couple of years.

I've always worked under the assumption that I'd be able to pickup AAAA-type filler whenever necessary... no team is going to make it through 1 year, let alone 3 or 4 with an initial 28-man roster.

I can't see myself picking up anyone that doesn't fit that description... and also, I barely have any idea who is even available :)

Okay I think the chart is sorted through the end of round 25.

Please let me know if something's wonky.

If you made a pick this round I somehow missed it.

I'm in for getting the backup dudes.  Question, though: are the injury reserve slots only used when players suffer season/career ending injuries, or can they be called up for a brief amount of time?  Like, I've got Profar and Bundy who won't be around until mid-season at the earliest -- can I put them on the RealFantasy version of the 60 day DL and use a couple reserve guys?  It doesn't necessarily matter at this point. Just curious.

Yeah, that's basically what they're there for: filling spots where a guy on your A25 isn't available for an extended portion of time.

If you want to take a team and make up their picks, make that known. First come, first serve, so just say "I'll take KFP" or whatever and it's yours. You can make the picks immediately.

Wait, can I just make my last two picks?
No. We're finishing up the the unfinished teams and then Scoops will set a time for a free for all on the last 3.

KFP is being handled. That leaves only 8 total picks to be made up. Let's wrap this up folks!

terri, if you've got time to post here, you've got time to make a pick for one of those teams!

Ah, I spent today trying to head into Boston for 8:15AM, left central CT at like 4:50AM, was still sitting stuck in traffic coming up on Exit 13 off the Pike at around 8:00AM, we obviously weren't going to make it, so just turned around and headed home. So, I've been up for about 19 hours, going on around 3 hours of sleep from the previous night, and annoyed at having missed another appointment out in Boston. I know it's not as bad as it feels (and I know I should be asleep now), but, ah well.

Which is to say that if I took picks for a team tonight, I would be tired and grumpy, and would probably give them a bunch of bad players or something.

If there's still a team in need of picking tomorrow after I get a good night's sleep and some pizza, I'll pick for someone then.

FFS people, there's 3 picks left. I'll PM Jay but could someone just take 5 minutes to finish this off? I'll flipping do it if Scoops give the ok.

EDIT: Jaylach is on his picks.
