Inside Lou Gorman's Head
With the Sunday night game now done, the Raiders and Steelers have locked up the final spots in the AFC and the matchups are set. That means it's time to fire this thread up for the 2022 playoffs.

Final seedings are below.

Make your picks for each game through SB LVI in Los Angeles (including the final score of the SB).

As always, one point for each winner you pick.

Correctly selecting a winner in the Divisional Round gets you a point, regardless of whether you nailed the matchup.

I’ll track the results and post standings throughout the playoffs. Any entry posted in this thread before kickoff of the first playoff game next weekend will be in the mix.

Good luck.

=======

Final Seedings:

AFC:
1. TEN (12-5) - Bye
2. KC (12-5)
3. BUF (11-6)
4. CIN (10-7)
5. LVR (10-7)
6. NE (10-7)
7. PIT (9-7-1)

Round 1:
7 – PIT @ 2 – KC
6 – NE @ 3 – BUF
5 – LV @ 4 – CIN

Round 2:
Lowest remaining seed (4-7) @ 1 – TEN
Next lowest remaining seed (3-6) @ Highest remaining seed (2-5)

NFC:
1. GB (13-4) - Bye
2. TB (13-4)
3. DAL (12-5)
4. LAR (12-5)
5. ARI (11-6)
6. SF (10-7)
7. PHI (9-8)

Round 1:
7 – PHI @ 2 – TB
6 – SF @ 3 – DAL
5 – ARI @ 4 – LAR

Round 2:
Lowest remaining seed (4-7) @ 1 – GB
Next lowest remaining seed (3-6) @ Highest remaining seed (2-5)

Last year, Boston Brawler and johnmd20 both came out on top at 10-3, with BB correctly picking the Bucs over the Chiefs. Who will take bragging rights in 2022?

Good luck!

This has been a weird NFL season where all teams have holes and all teams have had stretches of playing like dog shit. It continues in what ends up being a very sloppy and surprising 2022 playoffs.

No, please. Thank you.
Oh hey I am with you. I absolutely don't want Rodgers winning it ever again. I can't stand him for reasons I won't post in BBTL. But when I look at the matchups the team that would give them a run for their money is down 2 elite WRs, TB. Dallas might be able to beat them but Dallas has been so inconsistent in the second half of the season on offense that I am not sure. If the good Cowboys show up then it's game on. If the shoot themselves in the foot and not be on the same page Cowboys show up I like GB winning it. I think Buffalo has the DL and edges to actually make life difficult for him if they did face off in the SB but I don't trust Josh Allen and the Bills to have 4 good games in a row.

I never get these right, but it is a crap shoot so one of these years maybe the blind squirrel... I decided to not look at anyone else's entry and just wing it.

I was really tempted to pick TB12 to yet again turn back time, but I feel like his team has had too many injuries this year, and doesn't have quite enough weapons to get to the final dance. And I am incredibly realistic / fatalistic about the hometown team, which has limped into the playoffs with inconsistent and uncharacteristically sloppy play. The other teams are entirely bereft of good reasons to find joy in their success. And for that reason I just switched my NFC pick to the Cards - not sure they have the horsepower, but whatever. it's the Bengals' year I think.

Plus I want to dedicate this to my late sister, who never paid any attention to football, and whose standard answer at any SB party was "Go Bengals!"

Who do you root for in the SB if it's Packers-Chiefs?
Easily the Packers. I don't dislike Rodgers as much as most here even if I do think he's a boob most of the time. But that doesn't measure up my dislike for Hill, Kelce, Mahomes' brother and their smug, arrogant fans who consider KC to be a dynasty after winning one SB.
