Hey, it's not our fault if someone's got a leak in their camp!

Now who's going to trade with TEN to steal this man of mystery?

Why do you think I was so quick to point out that Tenn was skipped?

The Colts second round selection is available in exchange for a new owner.

Or an over the hill runningback.
I think you're up now. Hop to it!

How long ago did you think of that one?

Ok the 49ers will take Stephon Tuitt.

The 49ers didn't expect Tuitt to drop this far. We considered him in the first round and have him in the top twenty talents on our board. So when he fell to the forties we knew we had to get him. With either a healthy final college season or a healthy combine he would have been a first round lock. With both a top fifteen lock. Tuitt is a player we think will become one of the very best at his position.

With the 44th pick in the draft, the Cleveland Browns select Zach Mettenberger, QB LSU. Is he the QB of the future? Who knows. With pick #44, the Browns can take a chance on him while having Hoyer lead the team this year. Let's see if Zach can develop. Zach and Hoyer can share ACL recovery tips.

With the 45th pick the Lions select Kyle Fuller - CB Virginia Tech. Kyle is some one I have a first round grade on, a tough physical corner who will match up well with the receivers in the NFC North. With Chris Houston & Darius Slay on the roster , the Lions will be able to ease Fuller in as their nickel back.

Fuller is one of the guys STL was looking to trade up to get. I really like that pick.

I really like the CJ Mosely pick earlier in the round too. It's possible that he could go in the top half of the first round, so good value pick there. Didn't think that pick got enough love.

Yeah, I seriously thought about Mosley at 27 - I thought he was the best player on the board at the time. I just felt like Van Noy was a better fit for the Saints and I got scared off by Mosley's medical rumors. At 34, Phragle got really nice value.

Same. I considered Fuller at 31 but felt Roby's tools could match up better vs the speedsters of the NFC West.

Thanks. I was a pretty easy pick, actually. Mosley should start day one and play in their nickel and dime defenses.

Dallas needs to shore up the OL in front of Tony Romo's suddenly aging and troublesome back.  They are especially thin in the middle at gaurd.  Looking at the Cowboys roster every gaurd on the team is give or take 6'4 and 330 lbs.  That makes me think that Dallas will be able to find a college Tackle conversion project in round 3 or 4 to help shore up their front.

For now the Cowboy need to work on the  putrid defense they put on the field last year.  In the first round they picked one of the top Safties in the draft and now they look to add depth to a DL that sorely needs an infusion of talent.  The Cowboys pick Dominque Easley, DT, Florida

Easley has shown first round talent but has gone through some serious knee injuries.  His recent workout for pro teams though is drawing great reviews.  Getting a potentially healthy Easley at #47 could be a steal for the Cowboys.  He adds talent, pass rush ability and position flexibiilty to the defensive line.

Any chance someone can pick me so I can give you the Cardinals pick at 52? Taking the kids to west palm beach today. Will be in the air in about an hour. First airplane trip since the divorce and first trip with the kids post it too. Looking forward to the beaches, and the memories. Feeling very happy today guys and I thought I'd share that.

With their second round selection, the Ravens select:

Austin Seferian-Jenkins, TE, Washington

One NFC executive described ASJ as a "bigger, more athletic Gronk." With Pitta a season removed from a serious hip injury, and Ed Dickinson and the aging Dallas Clark the only TEs on the roster, grabbing ASJ here is a no-brainer.  This team needs to improve the offense around the 120-million man.  In the first round we addressed the OL, and now we get a TE to help in the passing game as well as the run game.  While not the best blocking TE out there, ASJ is a massive human being who can work on blocking in the NFL, but he doesn't shy away from the contact.  We can run a lot of 12 personnel at teams now, with Pitta/ASJ on the line, and two of Jones/Smith/Smith on the outside.

PM sent to SSF.

"bigger, more athletic Gronk"   Wait, this is POSSIBLE???

Good pick. He's a guy the Chiefs would've liked, but we didn't have the assets to move up to get him.

Sorry for the wait guys.

The Jets continue to add offensive help around Geno & Vick. With the 49th pick the NY Football Jets select:

WR, Cody Latimer

The 6'3", 215 lb Latimer toiled on a medicre Indiana team, but he had a fantastic combine and Pro Day workouts (including a stellar 4.38 at his Pro Day).

Jets like his soft hands, strong build, and a good sense of route running. Although he lacks the extra gear that some other top WRs have, as long as he works on a more professional approach (concentration was an issue from time to time), he'll be a great complimentary WR to Decker and Kerley.

P.S. Chart updated -- PLEASE check to make sure all the trades are noted correctly. T&A also PM'd.

I really liked Fuller too, and hoped he'd drop, as Jets have a paper-thin secondary. He'd have been the pick, but am happy that Latimer slipped as well.

The 49ers still have more picks than needs. We have 77, 92 (or 90, IDK), 94, and looking to move up or out into the 2015 draft.

I'll offer next year's round #2 pick (400-450 points) for this round's #77 (205 points) and #92 (132 points).

Miami, drafted one OL in the first round and still has a need to upgrade tackle.  But that need is going to wait until the next round.
Miami picks Shayne Shov, LB, Stanford

Prototypical size for the position, tons of production in one of the better college conferences, Skov strikes me as player that plays faster then his timed speed.  Comparisons have been made to a Poor Man's Zach Thomas.  He will likely struggle some in coverage, but putting him into the middle of Miami's defense allows them to take better advantage of Ellerbe's athleticism.  Skov might not have a super high cieling, but I'm willing to bet that he has a pretty high floor.

We think future points are worth about half as much as current points, especially in a strong draft like this. We'd like to get a specific player around the end of the second/beginning of the third and call it a draft.

This couldn't have played out any better for the Falcons. We were eyeing three OTs at 37, traded back to 51 ... and all three guys are still there. So as not to piss off the tin foil hats, I'll avoid naming names, but it ain't that hard to figure out. The Falcons' OL was garbage last year, particularly at the tackle spots after starters Sam Baker and Mike Johnson went out. Both those guys are back, but neither are world-beaters. I think the best fit for Atlanta is Ja'Wuan James, OT, Tennessee.

James is the total package: he has experience (49 starts in the SEC), size (6'6", 311 pounds), and athleticism (7.42 3-cone, 4.56 shuttle, 29" vert). He's played in both zone and man/power blocking schemes. He did well in the Senior Bowl. He played RT in college, but his skill set suggests he might be able to move to LT; most likely, he'll start at RT as a rookie (with Baker at LT) and then we'll take it from there. I want a day one starter, and he's the safest of the remaining options, but with the size and athleticism to still have room for growth.

Atlanta's OL now looks like Baker - Blalock - Hawley - Asamoah - James. That's a big improvement from last year.

Thanks SN. Cardinals need to groom a young offensive lineman. We actually had a first round grade on him. Morgan Moses, OT, Virginia. He's a massive guy who is a mauler in run blocking which will open up things for Andre Ellington. Moses might be too big to play guard but I think we can try and put him there to start. If he beats Massie in camp for the RT spot so be it. We have other needs but the chance to have two tackles the next few years, especially in this division is crucial. We thought about going secondary here but went with, imo, bpa, and a guy who can matchup with the tough des in the NFC West.

I like his floor. I see Moses as a high floor and medium to high ceiling guy. He's not terribly athletic and needs to learn to stop lunging at speed rushers. But aside from that he's very agile on his feet for a big man. I saw one draft profile describing him as a dancing bear. I laughed as I think that fits him perfectly.

I don't want to move down from 77. SF has the luxury of shopping in the premium section and taking players without needing starters. They've operated this way for a while and I'm trying to do the same.

Fair enough. I may be interested in 92 or 94 (or both) depending on how the draft shakes out.

At #53, the Bill select Lamarcus Joyner, CB/S, Florida St.

At 5'8" 190, he's small, but fearless, and as a big hitter he can play safety as well (he played safety in 2011). The big thing will be his ability to cover the slot against guys like Edelman; he played the slot a lot last season.

He can also help in the return game which wasn't so great for Buffalo last season.

Also, I'm on vacation the next week so I'll sadly not take part in a prospective third round

I would probably do that, but I'm not sure if it's in the spirit of the exercise. Teams don't usually trade like that.

Can I trade 49ers picks with Snyders picks? I ask because if the guy I want for the Snyders at 66 is gone, the Niners 92 and 94 works out as a near perfect trade.

With the 54th pick in the draft the Philadelphia Eagles select

Stanley Jean-Baptiste, CB Nebraska

Instead of going safe I went with who I thought had the highest ceiling out of who was left as far as secondary help goes. This kid is a playmaker with great ball skills and a fluid hip motion when changing direction. At 6'3" 220 lbs those are some intriguing attributes. Could he be the next Richard Sherman? Maybe. The Eagles lack a presence in the secondary and SJB would give them just that.

Sorry for the short write up, it's been a long day.
