Walcott and Benteke's long term injuries have led to an enforced use of the wild card - with a bit of wheeling and dealing out are Begovic, Evra, Walcott, Lampard, Fellaini, Benteke and Lambert. In are Mignolet, Coleman, Yaya Toure, Michu (a midfielder? On it like a car bonnet), Ramsey, Campbell and Aguero.

After a 70 point week I've decided to play the WC. Needed Ozil assists and hopefully Ramsey keeps scoring every couple weeks or so. Giroud and Aguero could continue their form please.

Would have been nice for Benteke to hurt himself the week before I played the wildcard. . .

Made a second transfer to get Ozil in, cost me 4 points but I needed to do it. I had 1.5 in the bank, so was able to make a nice upgrade.

62 points this week good week but 41 of those came from 2 players so full overhaul thanks to the wildcard.  Out go Altidore, Gerrard, Hazard, Sessegnon, Schniederlin, Jagielka, Garrido and Given.  In come Suarez, Ozil, Brady, Barkley, Amalfitano, Clyne, Shaw and Boruc.

78 points for OCST Wednesday in Week 6 is tops for the league, and helps my ascendancy from 38th two weeks ago, to 15th last week, to 8th this week.

Yessss.

So, Tottenham, stingy all year, at home, against West Ham, who haven't been able to score all year?

Figuring a near-certain clean sheet and a chance for more maybe, I had Walker as my captain, and I switched it to Sturridge at the last minute.

Good thing.

Lowest level of hell.
I'd like to thank Crystal Palace for taking a giant crap on my fantasy team at 77'. And a honorable mention goes to Arsenal who managed to get the draw. My perpetual Yaya captain choice seems to be holding fast though. Now to get out of the cellar.

Amen to favorite horsed faced striker!  He may be a certifiable whacko, but he is my favorite "i love me" jacketed/Lectur masked player!

Suarez has reached RVP status from last season. Too much of a risk to captain any player besides him.

The leader before today's games had Chamakh as captain...and got a bunch of points from it

I had Suarez as captain.  I didn't know the results of today's games until I sat down at my computer just now.  I'm now going to the bathroom to touch myself.

Suarez captained, made the 'mistake' of vice-captaining Agüero instead of Chamakh/Touré/Özil

95 points so far.

I thought vice-captain only came into play or affected your point total if your captain pick didn't play?

Does it? You're probably right, not sure how Agüero ends up with 3 if there's any sort of multiplier.

Also, this is why I'm in 32nd.

Maybe I'm not remembering this correctly, but in past years if the value of a player you selected increased/decreased over the course of the season wasn't that value added/taken from your budget?

For example, if you selected a player at 11pts and his value accrued to 12 pts, if you released that player you received 12 points into your transfer budget. Right now it looks like you only get the value when added to your team originally.

Translation: I want to drop Aguero for Suarez and don't have the points to do it.

91 points, and that's with two guys drawing zeroes and no one on my bench able to help.  I'm all warm and fuzzy.

You only get half of the increased value when you sell a player. Say you bought a player for 9.0 and his current price is 10, you can sell him for 9.5.

Coming in with an epic 110 points this gameweek. Currently my 7th season playing and I never remember breaking triple digits before.

True dat.  If he was going to slice and dice the Canaries, at least you should have picked up some fantasy love.

I hit 107.  I think I've broken 100 on double gameweeks before, but the only other time I can remember hitting 100 on a regular gameweek was when I had Rooney and Ashley Young in my team the week Man Utd beat Arsenal 8-2.

Like LFC, it probably won't last.

It didn't, though LFC have maintained form longer than I did...disastrous week, only 21 points, so out goes Gerrard (injured) & Giroud and in comes Hazard and Lukaku. I've only got just over £98M to play with now as well, such is the rapidly decreasing value of my squad. Might be time to concentrate on the Cup competition, which starts Week 18.

Those of you clever / lucky enough to have had Suarez as your captain for the last 4 games have managed to amass 154 points. 154 points from one player.

So I drop Guzan for Howard, start him this week at home against Sunderland, figuring he's good for a clean sheet.

So he goes and flattens some guy and draws a penalty and a red card.

Fuck.

Lowest level of hell.
Bit of a humble brag here. Have brought my team from 48th to 22nd in 4 weeks with some smart transfers, a change of approach to who plays and unmercifully flogging Suarez as my captain. Overall I am having a bunch of fun with this and I feel I am doing pretty well for my first time.
