The fact I can't figure out how to join this league does not bode well for my performance.
I think you have to pick a team before you choose your league. Do an auto-pick and then enter the code.

Yes, this. Pick your team and then join the league. I had to set up my team before setting up the league. If you still have trouble, drop me a PM here with your email and I can send you a direct invite.

In as Koemanager. Been slowly climbing up the table, but it's tough to break into European League places.

Blimey, that new website will take some getting used to after 6 or 7 years with the previous one. Looking forward to seeing what they do with the new app as well.

In again (The Cruyff Turn) after last season's nightmare where tons of my players got injured or underperformed. Hoping to hang around the top this season.

If you did a default lineup to signup for the league, make sure you get in there and get it switched up.

I'm in as Omaha Latics

Also, I created a SoSH Head-to-Head league if you want to play both simultaneously:

Trying to get into this last night left me with an auto-pick roster which is frankly, crap. Now I need to learn how the transfer mechanics work, for real.

Twice a year ( 1st half and 2nd half) you can completely reset your roster.

Otherwise you get one free transfer per week .. Or two at once if not used the previous week. Any other transfers have a points penalty

Ugh, forgot to set the order of my substitutes so I'm not going to get the 5 points from Hernandez, and instead have a filler Bournemouth defender in the first sub spot who'll probably get negative points.

Wait---points from subs? Do you mean if one of your starters doesn't play or something else?

Yes, if one of your XI doesn't play, you get the points of the first eligible sub, so you do have to think about the order of subs.

Or just pay attention to who's playing ;)

Seriously, though, I thought I was missing something.

Yeah, I didn't get up early enough to see that Jay Rodriguez wasn't starting for Southampton (he should btw he's better than their starters), luckily my filler defender didn't play today either so I will get Hernandez's 5.

Oh for fuck's sakes, I really hope these Friday night games don't become a thing. Wrecked my lineup this week as I thought I had until this evening at least

Yeah there are like 10 of them this season on "Friday Night Football" going to make lineup juggling harder for sure when games are spread over 4 days. Makes those injury doubts that much harder if someone is questionable for Monday and you have to make that call by Friday morning.

Predicting a lot of wildcards this week with Aguero's suspension and the boredom of the international break.

The upcoming slate of games starts their Cup tournament, with the potential to win actual prizes, so get in there and make sure you're lineup is set.

Lol at the idea of winning a cup

This year has been tough fantasy. So hard to find a lineup that consistently gels. Defenders especially.

I seem to have lucked out this year .. last year I was languishing mid table. Now enjoying the rarified air at the top despite having problems identifying a main striker (went through Kane and ZLATAN before setting on Costa). It seems, given the scoring rules it seems spending big on mid-fielders who are actually forwards gives a nice boost.

Last year when my attempt at a SOSH EPL three-peat ended with a mid-table finish I wrote this:

I'm the defending champion who got off to a terrible start and has now recovered to mid-table obscurity. I'm clearly Chelsea, except that my FPL team couldn't fire me in December.

#133coremiller, Apr 5, 2016
And the Chelsea analogy held, as I rebounded from last year's mid-table flop and look to be cruising to another title.

Can't wait. Pissed away many billable hours last year to figure out my three transfers every week. MID TABLE AND I MEAN IT
