Excited for Wilder, who’s probably the second best heavyweight of the last decade (depending how Usyk shakes out). He’s kind of like a lesser Joe Frazier. If not for one guy, he’d have dominated the division for a long time.
It's kind of insane how, even in defeat, he put fury down like 3 times in his two losses?
Parker isnt a scrub by any stretch so itll be a good scrap
Oh that first fight was about as close to a ko as you’ll ever see. It’s insane Fury got up from that and not only finished the round and the fight but hurt Fury later in that same round.

Edit: No, apparently the Wilder-Joshua fight is off for now. Sorry ElUno20. Hopefully Wilder gets back in the ring pronto to get back in shape and put himself back in line for a fight with Joshua

No apologies needed man. I think he's done. He needs to retire.
One of the oddities of modern boxing is these massive layoffs are a double edged sword. They're the result of being able to get bigger checks which is great for the fighter's health and financially (I'm a fan of both). However, without the reps, guys look terrible coming back and their careers kinda end abruptly because you do need that ring work. Hats off to parker but if thay fight happens a year or two ago, it looks a little more competitive.

I don't know much at all about boxing, but I enjoy this thread and very casually follow the sport since my grandfather was a bit of a boxer and I used to watch fights with him when I was a kid.
Anyway, I came across this video of Ben Whittaker vs. Khalid Graidia. Whittaker portrays the confidence of a boxer who knows his opponent is overmatched. I liked the showmanship and thought the ref should've let it go (unless there is a specific rule against it?). He did have some punches that looked dirty, even the back-of-the-head tap was light, but still dangerous.
He does appear to be able to dodge a punch, though Graidia doesn't seem anything special.
Is Whittaker someone to watch or a guy who gets exposed once he's matched with more talented fighters?

Usyk is a different beast though. He's a master boxer and he has an incredible prime Mayweather like workrate. He's not going to lean in and try to slug it out, Fury is going have to move this fight.
So i think the slimming down is good. Man that 2nd fight vs AJ, around 8-9 when Joshua rallied and then Usyk, dead tired, took it to another level to reassert his control. Chef's kiss on workrate. Dude is a machine.
