That's a great link.  Definitely up there with the Inside the NFL one, though of course that was 45 mins long.  I love the slo-mos and the choice clips from the regular season.

Also, at 3'50", there's a Gronk catch where the KC defender basically goes for Gronk's knees, but hit the back of them and slid off to no serious impact.  Made me remember how close the line is between a healthy Gronk and an injured one, on basically every play.  Also, screw (Justin Houston?  Chris Owens?) that guy, I hope he and TJ Ward go take a vacation in Syria.

After ten years of bitter playoff and Super Bowl losses, compounded by the never-ending "cheatriot" taunting, it takes REPEATED viewings of this video and all it's brethren to wash that stink away. But it actually works. Every time you see one of these, that crap sinks deeper and deeper into the past, and none of it carries the same sting. It's basically Shawshank Redemption for every Pats fan out there.

Amongst the somber Revis news today, I decided to watch the Super Bowl Sound FX (again). After Edelman scores the go ahead TD, they go to Zolak, and he says "when things seem dire, what do you do in life? You go right to people you can depend on. JULIAN EDELMAN." Against the background music it is just spine chillingly awesome. Woo fucking hoo.

I'm finally getting around to the special features on the DVD, and they edited out the boos towards Goodell during the Lombardi presentation. Never forget.

The law of diminishing returns is in effect as I've watched Turning Point, etc. enough for now, but:

Josh McD softly telling Tom to let it go after Tom was lamenting his bad Int. throw in the first quarter. Tom nodding OK.

Tom telling Josh the play is a good one (overthrowing Jules in the end zone) and to call it again when we get down there again. Done, winning TD.

After the Kearse bobblecatch, everybody is sitting there dejected but Josh is intently scanning his play card to come up with plays if Pats go back on offense. Thankfully, kneeldowns were all that were required. Josh could have thrown the card over his shoulder in disgust and I would have understood it.

From whatever I can glean from SoundFx's, etc., Josh is highly respected on the Patriots side.

Loved Edelman doing his Bill Belichick voice. Also:

"What is it like to disappoint Tom Brady?"
"When Tom is mad his voice goes up"
"An octave?"
"More like two. But when he's REALLY mad, he gets quiet and you just get "the look""

Thanks, I had only heard the New England call. Seattle call: "Picked off by something Butler", sounds like Gott or something. Sure doesn't sound like he says Malcolm.

Agreed. Thanks for posting that link. There are some segments on youtube which were posted earlier in this thread but they are missing a lot of the content.

That's awesome. I had not seen the clips of Edelman and Sherman yapping at each other.

This is pretty spectacular.  I loved:

- Edelman shouting various cocky things
- The officials at the end of the 1st half huddling up and the head ref says "Two minutes, this is where we earn our money boys, let's go!" like they're players.
- Russell Wilson telling KJ Wright that the Gronk TD pass was coming his way, before the play started.
- The huddle machinations of Seattle as they took the shot at the TD at the end of the first half.
- The time-lapse images of halftime setup, performance and breakdown.
- The breakdown of key plays like the Wagner INT, the Amendola TD, and the final Edelman TD were well-done.
- Hadn't seen the Revis comments about the Baldwin TD before.
- Thomas could have undercut Amendola on his TD catch midway through the 4th.  He came across, but let Amendola have nearer position on him.  He had a chance at the ball if he undercut, I think.
- The cutaways to McD, BB, Jules, were real documentary-style.  Great quotes from their post-game press conferences that I hadn't seen.
- It appeared like Marshawn Lynch had the gold-soled shoes, if you look at images of his final run of the game at around 39:35.  Did he get clearance, or just wear them as a "double freedom rockets" to the league?
- The full context for the Wahlberg bit about "best ever.  EVER."  Talking about their movie and whatnot.
- The most thorough video breakdown of the Butler INT that I've yet seen.
- And the last 20 seconds are pure gold from Casillas.  Great editing decision.

Just a great video all over.

On Thursday's PFW, "Matty No Socks" popped in to talk about the upcoming Three Games to Glory, due out in early May. He sure makes it sound like it's going to be unbelievable. A good amount of mic'd up stuff that you haven't seen on Turning Point or Sound F/X or anywhere else, as well as some behind the scenes Kraft Productions footage. BB breaking down several key plays from the Super Bowl, video of the practice play Butler famously got burned on (I think that detail has been mentioned up-thread) and a bunch of other stuff I can't remember. I can't wait.

Again, I think that if you’re going to be thorough, it takes time. You’re having to meet with a lot of people. I guess it’s always too long, because you want to get to that issue and deal with it. It’s important not to exert any pressure to short-circuit or do anything other than be fair and transparent.

Thank you very much, Mr. Commissioner, for taking time from your busy schedule to elaborate on this.  Very eloquently stated and clearly well thought out.

We are So. Fucking. Lucky. With the 2004 World Series (ALCS, really) as the exception, I've never enjoyed a championship more. Looking at that DVD case, I can't help but feel like Edelman and a Hoosiers Hackman: "I love you guys."

The "Fifty" is going to look awkward next to all those roman numerals after next year. But oh well.

They should have put the numerals for SB49 right under the SB36 numerals - leaves room for future additions.  Now there are going to be holes when they have to move them.

Time to do away with roman numerals. The "X" is what I think has marked the spot for 41 years and we're moving into an X free zone for the next almost decade. Plus, there's some shittly ones coming up, like LI, LII, LIV and LIX. Can't believe I have an opinion on this but I do.

Anyone know of any other radio calls besides NE's and SEA's?  I'd love to hear the end of the game on a national or international radio broadcast if someone knows of one that's out there.

This is actually the first time I hear this version. I really don't like the commentator, so I usually go out of my way to find the original trasmission.

Sometimes I like to lurk other teams' boards, just to get a third-party perspective on my team and it's opponents. This post by a Saints fan says it better than I ever could.

I have been drinking in the pain, tears, and frustration of the Seahawks players and fans like nectar of the gods. I am telling you, this is Christmas in February for me. That team has become a collection of arrogant, self-absorbed, roid rage freaks with no class and watching them fall in a gut-wrenching, calamitous, soul-crushing, and ulcer-inducing way just gives me joy. JOY.

The fight at the end when it was obvious they lost...SMH, even large portions of their own fanbase were utterly ashamed of that behavior, and Doug Baldwin's mock crapping out a football in the endzone was just utterly classless.

This type of life-shortening loss couldn't have happened to a better team.

Last year, after the game Earl Thomas said, he didn't understand what the big deal was, they were supposed to win... no big deal. I WONDER if he thinks it's a big deal THIS year having lost the game. LOLOLOL

Here's the full audio of Bill and Coach K talking back in February after the Super Bowl. I don't think this was available before. Bill talks in detail about Malcom's play in practice and scouting him. Although, I thought he might open up a little more with Krzy on some of the other discussions about leadership, etc.

Thanks for posting that, enjoyed it. Belichick, as we all know, doesn't suffer fools, but he can be really nice and cordial with people he admires like coach K or Pete Carroll.

Belichick, Brady, Robert Kraft and Jonathan Kraft were introduced before today's Sox home opener to thunderous applause.  Brady threw the ceremonial first pitch to Big Papi.

Just another part of the Patriots' well deserved victory lap.

Yup. Without J.R. Redmond, neither the Snow Bowl nor Super Bowl 36 would have been quite as sweet.

And Belichick's birthday. As Jerry Thornton said, "it's like the Baby Jesus and the Easter Bunny being born on the same day." Although they actually kind of do, come to think of it.
