Pats last two drives condensed.

Jules was an absolute YAC monster.
Thanks for that I have been looking for the full 4th Quarter but can't find it.

Bradys best throw of those drives was the one to Gronk over the middle after the penalty on the 2nd drive, he took a shot a millisecond after getting rid of the ball.

No.

Seriously I hated that man probably as much as you guys. All his whining and rule changes, etc. but do you realize how rare it is for any intense competitor who has convinced himself the other guy is a bad guy, to step back at any point in the future and realize he had it wrong? And to not only admit it, but go out of his way to praise the other guy?

As we've learned, most of the time once somebody has an opinion about the character of another group of people it's all but set in stone. This is rare.

I commend him for the ability to see through the rivalry and the bullshit and recognize the legitimate greatness his competitor has achieved.

Gotta go full regalia with the cutoff sleeves and football headset then, and maybe drenched in Gatorade.

Anyone have the Superbowl turning point video they can put up somewhere? That's the one I still haven't been able to see in full. For some reason the youtube members who have posted segments of it left out the final part.

Wanna see something funny? Hawks homer contends Doug "poop in front of 40 million people" Baldwin beat Revis all game long. I'm going to become a blogger and argue that water isn't wet after all.

Alright, which one of you is the anonymous commenter that posted this takedown:

Nice try but: you show 10 plays. One is a Revis blitz. One Baldwin clearly lined up over Browner. The pick/wheel from the slot is perfectly defended. One of Revis's strengths is preparation. He obviously saw that coming. Baldwin only gains separation after he breaks off the "go" part of the wheel route. If Wilson throws it right then, Revis closes on it easily. So that's 7 left plays left. Another is debatable he's open on a crossing route, you should watch the All-22 of Revis vs. Golden Tate from the Detroit game to see how quickly Revis can close that yard or two. It's called a trail-technique.

The last play Revis literally stops running because he's looking back at Wilson and sees him throw it deep. Then there's one where you say it's great play design that he gets open underneath, but again that's play design, not Baldwin "burning Revis". Even if that throw does go to him, it's a 4 yard gain so he should have had 2 catches for 7 yards then? And again, that play is the pick/wheel, so it's designed to go to Kearse. It was a play that was heavily covered by analysts prior to the Super Bowl as a staple of Seattle's offense.

The one on 3rd and 6 in the second quarter there is pressure coming from the offense's left, so Wilson naturally throws quickly to the right BEFORE Baldwin breaks inside and gets separation. Some of these you're not factoring in the context of when he gets separation (for example the two pick/wheel plays). Even the TD, if they were on the right hash instead of the left, there's more room for the ref to get out of Revis's way (or vice-versa).

So even if some of them are debatable, out of 28 designed pass plays (21 attempts, 3 sacks, 3 scrambles, one NE penalty), Baldwin got open against Revis 5 or 6 times. Is it a good idea to stare down a guy that only gets open 1 out of every 5 times (because as shown, Revis didn't line up over him all 28 times, but it was 25 by my count) so that he can get some catches?

Revis's performance on Baldwin was the definition of shut down. As you said, he made Seattle not even look at their #1 receiver, and their #1 receiver got open 5 to 6 times against him for an entire game. There's no shame in this for Baldwin other than the celebration, he still caught a TD after all, but Revis has been doing this for far better receivers for a long time.

Yes. Or their OC is worse than we thought. But we know the truth and it's not that Baldwin did anything against Revis.

This is reaching deep but...well...if you're reading this thread you're probably ok with that.

In the Brady 6 video, starting at 7:08, the scenario is this:  Brady's team down 10 points in 4th quarter, and "the legend of the comeback kid was born"

If only they knew

While we're at it, I'll throw in the portion starting at 7:45 in which Brady leads comebacks down 14-0 and 28-14 against Alabama in the 2000 Orange Bowl to win 35-34, much like the 35-31 divisional game win over the Ravens.

Ed, did your friend give you any sense as to whether he has watched the Sound F/X, Turning Point episodes also? I ask only because there's so much more mic'd up footage available than there was the last time we won a Super Bowl (and ordered every DVD imaginable to commemorate it), and we've seen so much of that amazing material by now that I can't help but wonder how much better the DVD can possibly be. I keep thinking they are maybe sort of organizing the mic'd up stuff into one catch-all DVD, as opposed to letting us in on a lot of brand new material that hasn't yet been made available.

Thanks.

I watched them all yesterday.  A few interviews, the on-field trophy presentation NBC broadcast, media day, and some SoundFX clips from the season that aren't really relevant to the Patriots.  Kind of underwhelming, honestly.  Would have been nice to have the parade or some Super Bowl post-game locker room video.

As great as all the Inside the NFL, Turning Point, and SoundFX have been, it really takes the piss out of the official SB video.  There isn't much new from the SB on there.

I don't think so - and it's the only one I haven't been able to watch and so I've googled a bit but come up empty.

We need to get it on the Pedro Server, if anyone has the ability to get a digital copy.

Which Turning Point are people referring to? Because there isn't one for the Super Bowl except for the preview according to NBC's website.

What am I missing?

There was definitely a Super Bowl Turning Point, I've watched it several times on my DVR.  There was plenty of overlap with Inside the NFL and SoundFX, but there was a fair amount of other stuff too.  Off the top of my head there was a lot more of the Sherman-Edelman back and forth.

That new one is phenomenal. Love it. Some highlights for me:

1) Someone not getting enough hate on this thread, and generally, is Donovan McNabb, What a fool. Talking all that crap about Brady after KC, these bold pronouncements wrapped inside a gutless two-steps back. A lot of people did, but he actually even comes out and says, I'M SAYING THIS FIRST!" Yeah, are ya, Donovan, are you saying it first? Okay, then you get the most blame since it didn't go your way. Since it ISN'T "Brady's last year in New England." Why don't you go puke on your shoes some more while you take ten minutes to run a two-minute drill.

2) this guy appears in a lot of these recap videos, but I don't think he's merited a mention yet. That skinny Cincy coach in the sunglasses, I'm assuming it's the DC. Kneeling down, telling his players that Brady's "nervous" out there. Hilarious.

3) I thoroughly enjoy watching the Ravens's (totally justified) sideline celebration as they go back up by 14 again in the second half. I ALSO enjoy watching them pump their fists and yell while I get to think to myself, "Aw...that's ADORABLE."

4) Great angle on the Edelman pass to Amendola, I don't remember seeing it in the Sound F/X or Turning Point. It shows in slo mo Edelman receiving the lateral, quickly setting up to throw and lofting that gorgeous pass to DA. The best part of that, though, is seeing Gronk come out to block for it, he just looks like a one man offensive line. So cool to see a breakdown of that play, knowing what's about to happen, and seeing executed to such perfection by so many parts of the larger whole.

With every one of these videos I see, I just can't get over what an incredibly clutch player Brandon LaFell was down the stretch.  After the first few games, I thought for sure he'd turn out to be the next Donald Hayes/Doug Gabriel/Joey Galloway/Torry Holt/Chad Ochocinco who comes in with big expectations and falls well short.  LaFell came up big time after time in the biggest of situations, and I couldn't be happier about it.

Finally watched the NFL film. Not too much footage you haven't seen, but I love this being the documentary of record. No Sherman face. No shot of Pete Carroll saying "oh no". No audio overlay of Collinsworth or Zolak questioning the play call. To be sure, I loved that stuff in the game's aftermath. But I think NFL Films understands that as time goes by, there's not enough bandwidth for multiple narratives. They simply weren't going to tell anything but the better story, and Malcolm Butler being prepared to make the play and executing is the better story.

Watching beginning to end, with NFL Films catching the key moments of each game, it's remarkable how many different guys stepped up at different times to make the big play. There are some constants, but from Jones, to Nink, to Wright, to Harmon, to Gray, and on and on, this was a team in every sense. The play that ended the season was in some ways shocking but in others about as fitting a play to cap this team this year as can be imagined.

I have only one criticism of that vimeo season summary above: Interspersed with the truly perfect Al Pacino dialogue from Any Given Sunday, you absolutely HAVE to have more than the video footage of Patrick Graham yelling "Malcolm, go!" on the sideline. You have to have the audio of it. Other than that, it is a perfect video.
