Yeah, with Capuano going to the pen and Warren to AAA, certainly could be. The longer Scherzer sits out there, the more Hal has to be tempted, one would think.

These small trades for Eovaldi and Barbato might be part of a bigger plan to trade for a top starter like Cueto or Zimmerman, along with signing Scherzer.

Come on, even Scherzer on his own is a longshot. Heyman (Boras' mouthpiece, as we all know) wrote a piece today about potential destinations for Scherzer, and NY was 9th out of 9.
