Shalise Manza Young

Some news: after 10 years as a Patriots beat writer and five years at the Globe, I've decided to step away from both. I'm joining the Shutdown Corner team at Yahoo! and will begin this Sunday.
Leaving the The Boston Globe is not an easy decision, but for a variety of reasons it's time for me to try something new, and in addition to getting to work for one of the best websites going, with some of the best sports journalists in the business, this move allows me to write from home.
So my web home is changing, but I'll still be very much around!

Quickly unfollowed her after this. She was useless as is much of the Globe Pats reporters.

SMY was on a long decline after a promising start.

I'm not shedding a tear, except for the likelihood that her replacement will be even worse.

Rarely stupid; rarely noteworthy. That puts her in the top quartile at GlobeSports.

The only time SMY was "noteworthy" was one of the multiple times she botched a story based on a false scoop from one of her "sources".  Good riddance.  Volin next please.

The Globe would be stupid not to try to blow Reiss away to takeover football at this point. He hates what's going on with ESPNBoston and how his space is used, why not bring him home. Pay the man.

You're assuming the Globe gives a ripe shit about the quality of their football coverage.
