Setting up a message board

I need to set up a message board for a professional group of non profit directors that are all currently using a shitty facebook group. I used to have a Yuku board but it seems Yuku was absorbed by tapatalk, but I can't figure out a what replaced Yuku for the relatively inexpensive message board option. Tapatalk is just the vehicle for the board, right? It isn't actually the board?

Have you tried Slack? It's more like a large chatroom but it's really nice.

Yes, I have thought of slack, and we actually currently use it for our online book club but I don't think it will work for our purposes to replace the facebook group. But I did figure out how to set up a new community on Tapatalk so I kind of answered my own question!
