ESPN is actually doing a great job trimming the fat and making upgrades. Hard to believe.

Absolutely great news. Looks like they started with Schilling on the baseball broadcasts. They could continue there by getting rid of Aaron Boone the Joe Buck wannabe as well. Randy Moss will be very entertaining. Gruden could dial it back a bit, pump the brakes so to speak. He sometimes starts getting into old John Madden territory.

This is awesome news. McDonough still reminds me of Sox games. I'm elated to see him go to MNF. He's one of the best announcers in all of sports.

Interview with Sean: http://nypost.com/2016/05/12/sean-mcdonough-on-mnf-tears-of-joy-espn-setbacks-and-jon-gruden-bonding/

Q: Any particular moment stand out for you?
A: I guess the one that was really frustrating was when Brent [Musburger] moved out of the top college football play-by-play position at ABC/ESPN and I thought I had a good shot at it. They promoted Chris Fowler, and I had no problem with that. I understood why ESPN wanted to keep him and needed to keep him happy and he’s terrific. But when you’re sitting there waiting for one of those opportunities, that was the one that seemed the most likely. But when that happened, I started feeling like it’s not going to happen here. … But the wait was really worth it because now we are talking about “Monday Night Football.”
