I was thinking about cross posting this in the baseball thread about the vile behavior of some Red Sox fans towards Adam Jones.
As it turns out, the person responsible for this was tracked down and appeared in the Scottish court today. He was obviously arrested. As part of his release he has been banned from all football grounds until final sentencing. He did plead guilty.
I'm not picking on the guy because he's a Rangers fan. In previous threads from years back I have talked about the treatment of Mark Walters by Celtic fans. Bananas thrown at him etc. What amazed me was reading Rangers forums where they said that "heat of the moment" behavior should be excused. Now his life will be a "misery" because pictures of his behavior are all over the news. He disnae deserve this...it's "taken outta context" .
Fuck him...the sooner people realize that these actions have consequences and it's no different to running up to someone and spitting in their face because they are of "color" the better. Bravo to the Scottish constabulary..they did not mess a round. If there is video evidence of the fan (s) at Fenway, I hope they get swift justice.
