Swapping one know-it-all for an even bigger know-it-all.  Impressive.

Love it.  Schilling may be a blowhard but he's our blowhard and, more to the point, the man is one of the more insightful analysts out there in my book.  Especially when it comes to pitching.

I was hoping he'd get the Fox gig and the bad part about this news is that it suggests that that numbnut Harold Reynolds might actually get it.

Yeah, I like Schilling providing analysis in the booth a lot more than in the studio, so this is a positive for me.

He could reeeeeeeeallly stand to talk about 66% less on the broadcasts, though. Knowledgeable about the game and pitching? Of course. But the flow of words from his mouth can be Niagra-like at times. Less can be more.

A little coaching on this would go a long way. I hope he'll listen to feedback. Anyway, good for G38!.

That's not an easy lesson to learn or put into practice. At a minimum it's a good rule to try to live by.

I was hoping that he would sweep in to take the Fox job away from Reynolds, but he'll be solid.

No disagreement.  Honestly, I want every broadcaster other than Vin Scully to take that advice to heart.

I thought Schilling (and Hershiser) did a really good job when he was in the booth. This is a good hiring.

I thought Hershiser had been really informative without coming across as a know it all. I'll wait to reserve judgment on Schilling's performance on this stage.

Fucking hilarious responses! Schill is gonna be fine.  He won't make you miss Joe Morgan that's for sure.
