heard breer on 98.5 a little while ago saying that, according to his sources, there is more to this injury than just the gash. he offered up that since an x-ray was involved, since they're not always something done when someone suffers a cut, that there may be something else at hand.

i like breer, but couldn't this be explained away with the medical staff being cautious? i'm not worried.. yet.

It sounds like it was bloody. Maybe a little gross.

He was wearing gloves so that we couldn't see it. I'm sure it didn't look good.

But he's starting and practiced on a Friday. What's left to say until the game starts?

I find it interesting that Brady just randomly FaceTimes Kraft. And that during dinner, Kraft will take the call.
I mean, it’s not random, but that Brady and Kraft are on a ‘I’ll facetime you if it’s important’ basis is interesting. I wonder how many players would ever do that to the team owner.

Also, if this was BB talking, would he have said ‘Well, Tom sent me a MySpaceFace Telegraph...’.

I'm sure if he has a cut due to an impact there was probably also a bruise and maybe some swelling. NFL trainers take x-rays like they dish out painkillers.

That sounds like “skier’s thumb.” I’ve had that. Painful as hell but mine healed on its own after a while.

Romo and Nantz said he wore gloves during their meeting.

When does Tom usually come out to warm up?

I think people are losing sight of what a sprain is. There’s is a wide range of possible injury severities there, all of them consistent with the initial report that he jammed his thumb.

The fact of the matter is “sprain”
Is somewhat poorly defined with respect to severity. Deal with it.

Sweet.

That means we finally have confirmation that the glove is not holding Ton Brady’s hand together in some sort of structural fashion.

We’re finally getting somewhere.

He's favoring it and putting it in his muffler pocket frequently and moving it around in there. But he's throwing the ball.

Edit: Just showed him drinking with his left with right hand in his pocket so it's clearly not nothing. But he looks ready to go.

He was also slapping fives with the "bad" hand. Reading that to be not really a pain issue with the hand but only covering a cut.

I hope the medics lathered the wound in super glue.

He always has his hands in the muffler on a cold day. This isn’t news.

The beginning of this adventure sounds like it could have come out of the Godfather with Vito Corleone sending Tom Hagen out west on a special mission.

KT Tape marketing brand manager, Jacki Cassady, was at her booth during a professional baseball athletic training conference when a man approached her with a unique request.

He only said he was a professional doctor to athletes and he said he had a player on the Patriots that needed to be taped up with very specific requirements. The tape needed to cover stitches on a thumb, but have the thumb still be as flexible as possible. That was the only information the doctor provided, and did not say his name.

I'm sure banning KT tape will be high on the list of the competition committee this off-season.
