That type of unlucky injury on a liner hasn't happened to us in recent history. And it might change our deadline strategy.

Speaking of Duran playing to continue his development, why has he been playing RF lately? I envision him in CF next year. Obviously, JBJ is the better fielder this year, but shouldn't Duran be in CF? Is he that much worse than JBJ?

Well, that one start we got from Sale was cool.

I think a best case is a dislocation. A break probably takes longer to come back from on his pitching hand.

You don't need an arm to play RF at the toilet.

Sell, sell, sell. I know we're in it, but if Chaim refuses to try to compete, then just toss it in. I get Chaim want's to rebuild the team, which involves tearing it down, but at least give us placeholders better than the worst batter in baseball JBJ, two wildcard platoons who proved nothing (Dalbec/Cordeiro) and a 27 year old rookie once Kike went down

Like I said these 14 games vs Rays and Yanks were going to determine the Sox position at the deadline.

I would bet broken, +/- dislocation. Often they go together.

On his pitching hand, hard to imagine he's not out at least 6+ weeks. Could be more, might have been an ugly fracture.

With his shit luck, the hand was fine until he hit the deck, then he broke the finger.

Yes. Bad routes and a poor arm. Speed makes up for some but they are not in the same league as fielders.
