SABR Boston Event on Monday, Jan. 19

As always the Boston chapter of SABR will hold an event on the Martin Luther King holiday. It will run from 11:30 to 5:00, upstairs at the Baseball Tavern, and is open to the public (free of charge, donation requested). Speakers include Mike Murov from the Red Sox front office, and former players Rico Brogna (now a coach for the Angels) and Brian Rose. There will also be a "life in the minors" panel featuring Twins pitching prospect Ryan O'Rourke, former PawSox pitcher Marc Deschenes, and possibly one other player.
 
A winter baseball fix is a good thing, so come by if you can.
