Thanks for sharing that @Bertha. It is encouraging and a step in the right direction and I wish I wasn't such a cynic but I have to ask if they knew you were an active member on SoSH? I think the team knows that this board has some influence in shaping fan perceptions.

SoSH was never mentioned, although I "anonymously name-dropped" in my email to Sam Kennedy. I referenced sending same email to a well-known local journalist asking for advice getting it noticed, and he suggested, correctly, that SK was very responsive.

I agree the team most likely recognizes the value of reading the SoSH tea leaves, and could very well have seen my post weeks ago. Perhaps my follow-up, and the journalist reference, suggested I would have sought a larger forum for my plea (I would not have)

The journalist in question, who himself was responsive and supportive..........

Thank you Bertha for the update. Are their actions to date sufficient from my perspective? No. I'm glad to hear that they are working on it, even if not as quickly as some might like.

Thanks very much to @Bertha both for putting in the effort and sharing the response with us.

I appreciate your acknowledging what a good job the Sox exec did listening and striving to understand the challenges, and responding in a non-defensive way. I don't want to pretend that's sufficient for these kinds of situations, but it is a lot and is a necessary first step.

Well-done, @Bertha. Hopefully the Sox know the people who rip them for being TOO progressive are outnumbered.

Thanks Bertha. It's all a bit disappointing but good for you for being persistent and for getting your important message heard.

I’ve been an anti-police violence activist for nigh on half my life (coming from a police family I know how corrupt they all are). As far as BLM is concerned, there’s the broader movement against police state violence, which is admirable. It’s only the core Marxist activists that I’m skeptical about (and to be sure the broader movement has nothing to do with it, they’re justifiably focused on the police state violence).
We've been pretty liberal in allowing for content that has political overtones in direct relation to the Brasier incident in this forum. However, while informative, stuff such as the quoted post above belongs in V&N exclusively.

Just a friendly reminder.

I recommend the posts be moved to V&N because it pretty hard to look at the next level BS that they claim without responding. Feel free to delete this too.

As requested, I moved the posts that had gotten completely away from the Brasier topic as it relates to the Red Sox to a new thread in V&N. I left the posts that were relevant to the topic here, but if anyone wants to continue to discuss the deeper roots of BLM beyond that focus, please do do there.

EDIT: Please do so there, of course.... Gotta leave the typo.

Going forward, please understand that we are going to continue to be hyper vigilant in keeping political arguments confined to V&N.
