Bumgarner's been the best starting pitcher in this postseason, home or on the road. It would be a surprise if the Royals do somehow beat him.

He was also much better on the road than at home during the regular season.

These playoffs are telling me James Shields is not the pitcher the Red Sox should invest in this winter.
I still think we have a wink wink deal with him

Wait ... you think the Red Sox already have a deal with him? Before any free agency period begins? Before other teams have submitted offers?

How much is this game costing Shields??
Nothing. A hot postseason can earn a player more like Beltran but I don't recall where a poor one has cost a player anything. 200ip > 20ip.

All those who thought KC was going to go 12-0 in the postseason, raise your hands

I get a kick out of announcers so often saying a guy is strong enough to muscle it to the outfield when they hit it off the not sweet spot, including Papi's game winner in that game 5. They say it more often than when a guy hits one 440 feet.

Many of you are asking about the Marlins' dude behind home plate. I have no answers.

Too lazy to pull the link, but I think bleacherreport had something on him last week.

I bet Tripping Olney knows, but he's busy being more normal than Harold Reynolds.

Hey guys, remember when some of you used to call Lester a "mental midget"? Well, this is what an actual mental midget looks like.

Serious question: Did anyone here actually call Lester a mental midget?

I would assume the Royals want their big bullpen arms to get some mound time either way tonight wouldn't they?

Considering the layoff, and the with another offday coming after tomorrow, I'd think so
