I took this 1 month ago in the midst of a super tight pennant race. Others have said it's typically better. I want to be on the KC bandwagon, but I just can't shake the feeling of being utterly unimpressed by the fans when I was there.
From 1952-66, the only time the Red Sox were even vaguely in contention was 1955. With four games to go in the 1967 season, the Impossible Dream Red Sox were tied for first place and hosted the Indians for two games. The games drew 16,552 and 18,415, at a time when tickets were very cheap and (I don't think) the weeknight games were on TV.
You disappoint a fan base for decades and they can be slow to truly trust you.
