Yet again, the NBA forces us to wait two days before we get to see more Celtic dominance over what is ostensibly an NBA team in the playoffs, but does not appear to be of the same caliber as the team that plays in Boston.

However, the Hawks are now at home and if they have any chance of not seeing their entire organization blown up this summer, and perhaps one Trae Young shipped out of town in exchange for flotsam and jetsam, they need to win this game. Which is too bad. Because they are very unlikely to win this game.

Still, stranger things have happened and it's true the Cs can sometimes play down to opponents and there is some chance that all of the "where is Trae?" talk will get him motivated to do ... something. Pretty sure it's not going to make him good at defense, though, which means it's a layup line for the Cs every time he sees the floor. Maybe Quinn will even bench him and see if he can turn the game into a slugfest. But that's probably going to go badly for a team that's undersized at just about every position.

My prediction is another trip to Blowout City.

Atlanta may have a fast-food spot called The Varsity but in this series they are most decidedly the JV team

Never would have guessed a month ago, when it seemed likely we would line up with Miami, that I would feel more confident in this game than the other playoff game tonight but here we are.

That was actually good defense from Hawks---hopefully won't see a lot of that tonight

C's are getting wide-open looks.

I wish Smart could shoot.

Avoided falling down by a lot early. Didn't love the Tatum pullup 3, but otherwise the offense looks fine. Hopefully they stay engaged and can snap some necks tonight.

Boxing out a little too well, almost. Forgetting the final step of grabbing the rebound. But they are looking fine overall in a game ATL absolutely needed to come out on fire.

If Belichick put this lineup out there we'd be saying he's "creating tape for xxx good opponent down the road to have to plan for"
