If it was for performance he would have skated this morning. It’s either that groin he tweaked or he’s still sick.Ullmark?
Performance or injury?
Got the Dumps?
If you’re trying to minimize turnovers, Clifton can sometimes make some sloppy or ill advised plays/decisions. He does bring a lot to the lineup too, so I’m mostly with you.I don't see why Forbort would play over Clifton, but whatever. I like the creative lines but I worry that the third line is going to struggle a bit. If Krejci has a bounce back game, maybe this is a compelling overall mix. I'll take it.
Is it OK if Bergeron is out?Not convinced they are taking Florida seriously yet.
That's why they rested Krejci. Not convinced they are taking Florida seriously yet.
Seemed more like it was 3-0 and they wanted to give their other goalie some PT in a game that was already pretty much out of reach rather than starting him cold in a new game. The quick pull on Lyon struck me as a bit odd. It wasn’t like he was a sieve back there. But I assume the Florida coaching staff knows his weaknesses, and once they realized the Bruins shared that knowledge, they moved quick.
It seemed to me that everyone that matters, on both teams, has seen enough of his glove work to know how to proceed. I’m thinking Bobrovsky is between the pipes tomorrow afternoon.Seemed more like it was 3-0 and they wanted to give their other goalie some PT in a game that was already pretty much out of reach rather than starting him cold in a new game.
I think he is too.. which is why they got him in late.. but it could also be like you said as well.. that his glove hand has been exposed and it's time for a switch. It seemed to me that everyone that matters, on both teams, has seen enough of his glove work to know how to proceed. Lyon is a bit of a weird goalie to get a handle on though, isn’t he? He’ll make a few ten bell athletic stops, then let in 2 45’-55’ wristers to the glove side per game. It took a while for the book on his glove to be confirmed but it sure seems like a reliable liability now.I think he is too.. which is why they got him in late.. but it could also be like you said as well.. that his glove hand has been exposed and it's time for a switch.
I don't remember the B's getting as many wide open breaks in game 2 as they did in game 3 or even really wide open shots where they could really pick their spots... feels like that's was almost more of Florida's issue than the keeper. But I guess he also didn't make a ton of big saves either.
I thought that was the case but wasn’t positive. Hall’s shot had no business finding twine. Pasta’s was closer in, (as, for that matter, was Brad’s GWG in G1). I’m betting Alex’s pumpkin coach has finally pulled up to the curb. Both of those stretch passes that lead to goals were made by Orlov.
He did look a bit uncomfortable after the 2nd FLA goal.View: https://twitter.com/conroyherald/status/1650273614988562437
I know it's 2 days off but wouldn't mind seeing Swayman in game 5
I thought he just looked completely gassed. That was quite a flurry at the end of a bunch of zone time.He did look a bit uncomfortable after the 2nd FLA goal.
Absolutely a possibility. My guess was between that or possibly something with his groin but since there's been no real evidence or further injury post-game, I am leaning more towards being gassed now.I thought he just looked completely gassed. I would think that hit and the bush league move of trying to fight Ullmark will have the refs paying close attention to TkachuckView: https://twitter.com/nhlplayersafety/status/1650516618450026498?s=46&t=OkYc4B97cAcDPw09PEJj_w
Wonder if this puts a bit of a target on his back with the referees next game.
Thank you for this. If I remember correctly, Montour came flying into the play, so he probably should have been assessed a first penalty for roughing, and then second for fighting. For those trying to sort out why the B's ended up short-handed post-melee, here's the breakdown:
16:49 Derek Forbort Roughing against Matthew Tkachuk served by Taylor Hall
16:49 Derek Forbort Fighting against Brandon Montour
16:49 Linus Ullmark Misconduct served by David Pastrnak
16:49 Jake DeBrusk Misconduct
16:49 Brandon Montour Fighting against Derek Forbort
16:49 Sam Bennett Misconduct
16:49 Matthew Tkachuk Misconduct
So did the Bruins end up with 4 "in the box" (Forbort, DeBrusk, Hall and Pasta), with DeBrusk and Ullmark sent off, and FLA had 3 "in the box" (Montour, Bennett and Tkachuk), with Bennett and Tkachuk sent off. The double penalties for Forbort seems a little silly, but no harm, no foul, and lead to the hilarious empty netter after that.
I believe the Bruins only really needed to put Hall in the box to serve Forbort's extra 2 (which was the man power difference). Everyone else could've gone to the dressing room. The Ullmark situation was unique. As with all goalie penalties, the Bruins needed a skater to serve for him. I'm not entirely sure why they made Pasta sit in the box, but my guess is because the Bruins decided to pull Ullmark, the officials wanted whoever was serving his 10 minutes to be in the box to avoid confusion in the event Florida tied it and the Bruins put Ullmark back in prior to the 10 minutes expiring. For those trying to sort out why the B's ended up short-handed post-melee, here's the breakdown:

DeBrusk and Bennett got tangled up pretty good and wrestled to the ground losing their helmets, so likely both of them just got the boot for it.I don't recall DeBrusk doing a ton,
I was really hoping that ZachasPavel Zacha for Erik Haula.
Give Sweeney the Executive of the Year for that trade alone:

Isnt as simple as Forbort got the only 2 minute, non-matching penalty. For those trying to sort out why the B's ended up short-handed post-melee, here's the breakdown:

IANAD, so that sounds a odd. It seems like he's had the same issue for a couple of weeks and now they're testing?
