The Roberts footage that Boone was compared with looks to be from August 16, 2003*. The neat thing about that game is that it was one of two (the second, to be more precise) Roberts' current pitching coach, Mark Prior, had a pinch-hitting appearance.

*I'm assuming this because I saw a FOX logo near the Wrigley Field brick wall near the first base seats, and it's the lone Saturday game Roberts played as a Dodger at Wrigley.

Volpe waited until the last inning of the road trip but that was quite a statement. Great win, Domingo was fantastico.

The LAD/BOS exchange program is pretty hilarious, I somehow didn't realize Mookie and JDM were again in the same lineup until this series.
Considering the pre pregame where they claimed Dodgers/Yankees is the greatest rivalry in baseball, I guess that makes sense if you consider the Dodgers and BoSox to be interchangable

Rodon will face hitters on Wednesday, he has been throwing full strength for a bit. I think maybe another month, around July 4, fingers crossed. Montas and Gil and Loaisiga are also all expected back at some point, Ian Hamilton soon.

Also the Yankee schedule is very front loaded this year, the last two months they can easily get on a roll if they actually have any players left.

Yes, fully understandable. The season has always keyed on having a healthy Cole/Rodon together.

Nestor has been great for 4-5 innings consistently then running out of gas, that’s not a shoulder issue but presumably is also part of this.

Good lord, it looks like the beginning of an ominous superhero movie, both here in upstate NJ and in the Bronx. It's rollover from a Canadian fire apparently and can feel it entering my lungs from my place.

Schmidt needs to stop walking off the mound when he thinks it’s strike 3. If it’s annoying me, it’s definitely annoying the ump.

At least even this sleepwalking lineup blasted a HR off Hendriks, but not enough.

MLB is meeting with the teams at 4 PM to decide if they play today. One problem is I think it’s supposed to be just as bad tomorrow.

Going from A-Rod to Cone on the ESPN Sunday night game is a Franchy to Judge level upgrade, not exaggerating.
