I know the rotation is already short, but I hope they send him packing.

Of course I've wanted the Yankees to move on from him for a while, so that's not exactly new.

Toronto really does have all the ingredients of a team I am growing to truly hate. They over-celebrate singles, Vlad Jr is a total dick, they seem to think they're the best team to ever grace this planet, and their fans follow suit.

But if they were stolen due to a non-electronic step in the process, what is the issue? Non-electronic sign stealing is the status quo, right
If the coaches are out of position it may not be ok, or perhaps it is an electronic signal and the coach thing is a red herring. But didn’t they get away with that once before without a penalty?

I think Volpe will settle down at SS, but I sort of get IKF vibes from him there right now. Like, I know he has the talent to be good, and I bet DRS will like him at the end of the season, but sometimes he seems a little anxious when the pressure ramps up.

Edit: Like he thinks a little too much, maybe.

German presumably suspended for 10 days a la Scherzer and Hamilton hurt after having to warm too quickly, NY can’t replace German so maybe Krook for Hamilton and then Severino for Krook on Sunday.

Florial with 2 HRs in a 3-5 night in AAA, 4 RBIs and 4 runs scored, .978 OPS now. Give him a shot to play some before Stanton is back.

Also, FTR, John Schneider has an extremely punchable face. What I imagine an older Luke Voit managing a baseball team would look like.

Seems like you're covering multiple bases there. Not sure what you're referring to in the 2nd sentence, is this something from a prior season?

Watching through this game now, so many mistakes again from Gleyber, a handful of defensive ones and also thrown out on dumb attempts to advance at both second and third, the one at second was with Judge up next.

IKF and Trevino as the 8/9 hitters responsible for 5 of NY’s 6 runs scored (IKF 3, Trevino 1, Hicks pinch-running for Trevino 1), wild game.

I'm a little behind still but any other game I would have pinch-hit Volpe there but for this one, how do you not go to IKF after his game last night? Then you still have Volpe for a pinch-runner too, terrible decision.

They need to bring Peraza back. Maybe Volpe sharing time between SS and 2B would help him settle down a little but still keep him in the lineup.

But maybe 2B would put more stress on him. Dunno. I'm worried that all these errors will crush him.

I paused mid-10th only to come back not long after to see that Amazon had unpaused me with an 'event ended'. I still have no idea what happened (I saw the score) and I will keep it that way for a bit.

So strange, seems like if you score zero runs in ten innings, it's hard to win. Who'da thunk it.

Nice start to the day with Baltimore and Tampa losing. Would be a great outcome to take three out of four.

Volpe turns on 99 mph, lines a shot off the LF screen to make it 4-2 in the ninth. He’s on pace for 25 homers.
