From Hockey's Future:
2011-12: Subban skated in 39 games for Belleville in his second season; being hampered by a mid-season groin injury. He was one of the OHL's top goaltenders and a big part of the Bulls turnaround as Belleville finished second in the East Division. He finished with a 25-14 mark and recorded three shutouts with a 2.50 goals against and .923 save percentage. In the Bulls' six-game playoff season with eventual OHL runners-up Ottawa he was 2-4 with one loss coming in overtime and had a 2.93 goals against and .917 save percentage. Subban was invited to the NHL Draft Combine and was the top ranked North American goalie in Central Scouting's final rankings (up from 20th in the mid-term rankings) prior to the 2012 NHL Draft.
"I'm just so happy just to get drafted," Subban told TSN. "I've worked so hard in the OHL just to get a shot and just to be here. I couldn't be happier right now. Yeah, I've heard (about playing against his brother in the B's-Habs rivalry) a few times and I couldn't be more excited for that. I'm just going to work as hard as I can and hopefully be a part of that."

Despite PSK's strong dislike of this draft pick, on account of the Bruins' strong goaltending core (read: prejudice), Chiarelli said that goaltenders take more time to develop, so this move is for the far future. Furthermore, Chia added that the middle Subban plays with "exuberance." In summation, out with the old, in with the new. Later Thomas, welcome Malcolm Subban.

Subban update...13-6-3, 2.23 GAA, .930 SAV, 2 SO.

Looks pretty legit. He'll be Canada's starter at the WJC later this month.

Subban's regular season came to an end yesterday. Final numbers: 29-11-4, 2.14 GAA, .934 SV%, 5 SO's.

With Rask, Khudobin, Svedberg and Subban all
playing well, the B'a appear to be stacked in net for the foreseeable future. Even if Dooby bolts for a starting gig elsewhere.

Subban is about a month into his pro career. He got off to a shaky start in October, posting a 4.09 GAA, .879 SAV in 2 starts for the Baby B's, but has bounced back quite nicely in November. In 4 appearances (3 starts, 1 in relief of Svedberg) Subban has posted a tidy 1.53 GAA and .940 SAV. He came within 13 minutes of a shutout yesterday before getting sent packing for fighting.

Subban has rebounded his season stats nicely from the first month.

In 17 games he's managed a 0.922 Save and 2.29 GAA compared to Svedbergs .910 and 2.76.

Pretty good rebound after a tough start for a young goalie.
