The joke comes from last night's game. There was a guy in the front row behind the Bruins bench with a Godsmack hockey jersey on
Sure, but Is it more funny because Tampa can't even have their own shitty bands, they have to take one from up here? Or is it less funny because although Godsmack sucks, they are from here.
It's funny because regardless of band or band origin, wearing a band's hockey jersey to a hockey game = super WT

Today they are all about Shawn Thornton replacing Tyler Seguin in the lineup for Game 3. Fred started it with repeated tweets on Saturday night. That's fine, but not enough to build a show on, it's really pretty terrible discussion so far.
My question, though, didn't they also trump up Scal last year in the playoffs? I get that they like these guys because they talk to them every week, but it seems pretty lame to me.

They didn't do this at all with Thorton in the Tampa series, it was actually quite the opposite. "We love Shawn, but you need Seguin out there" for the most part. Gresh and Zo are doing the same thing.
Wallach kept pounding points scored as his only argument. The whole thing was classic talk radio where you take the most simplistic view of a game. I guess it makes it easy for any idiot to understand their point, but it ignores so many other aspects of the game. Apparently, now that Recchi tipped the puck in he should be an integral part of the PP because I dont recall his name being mentioned at all this morning.
I'm not sure this is how the B's coaching staff thought the game would go, but if this was part of the reason the team was on fire in the 2nd then have to give credit when credit is due. Obviously they know their team better than us.

I can't handle the drunken recaps after the Bruins games anymore. Most of them arent interesting or funny. Give me more of Rich's produced items with B's highlights and interview clips, they are consistently outstanding.
I stumbled across it this morning (I don't care for the show.......I just can't seem to get into it) and it was FANTASTIC. For christ sake I kind of got a little verklempt about half way through and I'm not even sure why. Just top notch.
The recaps aren't as much fun when the people being interviewed know what they're being interviewed for, and are mostly just mugging the microphone the whole time. They need to get back to finding the clueless drunks.
People on the Pike this morning had to be wondering why I was pumping my fists. That montage was great.
