Outside of Worcester you'd think Paul Revere's ride. Within city limits you think of another kind of ride

The fact that they're not calling their new park "The Polar Grounds" is ridiculous.

I say name them the Ruby Legs after the former NL team that played there. Or the Worcester Roosters -- that seems difficult to say five times fast and will provide countless hours of entertainment.

This is how you end up with a team name like the "Rocket City Trash Pandas" which was voted in by the residents of Madison/Huntsville AL for the team that will soon be formerly known as the Mobile Bay Bears

Rogers Park
Some link between the polar bear as part of the identity for the Pawtucket version of the team and the polar bear in Polar, the naming sponsor of the park, seems like it could be irresistible. But what's the actual name?

The Worcester PawSox seems... untenable.

I like that, their victory song can be "Rooster" by Alice in Chains

Apparently the only major league baseball team ever to exists in Worcester were called the Worcester Worcesters, but B-Ref lists them as the Ruby Legs.

Worcester Pikes? Lip Pike led the league in HRs 4 times(totals of 4,4,7,4), he played for the Worcester Worcesters for 5 games in 1881. His mustachio face would be a great olde team image..and it could reference the highway.

This is a winner and the first thing I thought of.

Totally agree on Polar Grounds, makes way too much sense.

The Worcester Roostahs would be so New England.

I find Trash Pandas kind of comical.
