I saw him walking around the other day. He looked AWFUL. I’ll miss listening to him and hope that things go as well as they can.

His labored breathing on the broadcasts was really difficult to listen to. I hope he can pull through again. The broadcasts with him and Eck together are fun to watch even if the team is collapsing.

Anyone know what hospital is treating him? The company my wife works for (Kate Farms) makes the top-of-the-line meal replacement products, which can be very helpful for those undergoing cancer treatments who are having difficulty eating and keeping their caloric intake up to minimum levels. If his hospital doesn't have it, I'll try to send him a case.

I don't know if he's even in-patient. I believe his treatments are at Dana Farber.

Loved his style of play when he played for the Angels. That the Sox got him was one of the early highlights of me being a Sox fan growing up.

Beat this #2!

Damn. I am riding The PMC this weekend. I will add Remdog to the peeps I think about as I ride. Hopefully he can beat it.

So hoping he can beat this again. But also so glad the Red Sox gave him his day a few years ago, I remember thinking how genuinely happy and appreciative he looked that day.

I know nothing about his lung cancer diagnosis/stage/etc.

As an oncologist, we have many new therapies that have been discovered in the past few years that has drastically changed how we treat lung cancer. He is obviously being treated by some of the world's best with access to the latest data and cutting edge clinical trials. Hopefully, he will continue to do well.

But man, lung cancer sucks.

Cancer is the gift that keeps on giving. Treatments have improved in recent years for lung cancer; hope he can access a treatment that gets him back to NED (no evidence of disease).

Saw this in Pete Abe’s Sunday Notes column:

In case you missed it, Sean McDonough donated $10,000 to The Jimmy Fund in honor of Jerry Remyduring the game on Tuesday.

“He is constantly in our thoughts and prayers these days,” McDonough said, his voice quavering a bit during a break in the game when he made the announcement.

Cora and Sox players have been wearing “Jerry Remy Fight Club” T-shirts over the last week.
