Are you the same one who wants to sign Bregman and disrupt the IF configuration, pay for his declining years, AND lose a draft pick due to his QO?
Giving Pivetta a QO then signing Buehler with the ability to later extend a QO was a great sequence.

I did not know if the mutual option negated the QO ability. It was a totally legitimate question.

Move along

Fair, I can move along. Our SP is likely much improved. We have 2 (or3) of the absolute best prospects in all of baseball waiting in the wings. We were decimated by injuries to some really important players for much of the season. The AL East is weaker than it was last year. We have many other players in their prime years. We are still in December. Chill, we are going to field a really good team.

Buster Olney's podcast has a new episode featuring an interview with Walker Buehler. Couple things:
* Olney and Hembo (not sure who that is) are sky-high on Buehler this season, especially because of pitch mix stuff that the Sox emphasize;
* Buehler talked about the Sox' pitching approach as why he wanted to come here (grain of salt but maybe?);
* Buehler also talked about last season, getting his body right (mechanically?) and getting the feeling in his hand back. He says it clicked in the Atlanta game in September, and while he still had two duds after that, his other four starts were very good.
