I have an odd confidence in Cash Money Cashner tonight. Can't really explain it, but it may have something to do with the 3 margarita lunch I just enjoyed.

Here's the Rolling Stones at the absolute peak of their powers.

Well alright!
Nothing's changed except the margaritas. Our deadline pickup is poised for another standing ovation. Cash is money. WIN.

We're 5-4 on this brutal NYY/TB stretch. That feels disappointing. That's what happens when you have two shots to sweep and blow the getaway game. Sale's egg on Sunday really hurt. Let's get back to winning fucking baseball games.

Rookie lefty is starting for Tampa. slumping Vaz/JBJ are given breathers. we need every game possible but I get the feeling everyone needs a breather soon, too.

Why not Holt on 2nd, Chavis on 1st? Save Mitch for rh pitchers.

Kudos to Ale for stepping up. If this particular thread doesn't fly, what's the rule around starting more than one game thread per season? I know we're running short on bodies and was thinking of stepping in today, but don't to jinx things any worse than they already have been.

Thought E-Rod was starting tonight. Make me forget my disappointment, Cashner!

The Grateful Dead is envious of the length of these games

Win one, anyway

Didn't both the A's and the Angels back in '02 or '03 win something like 20 games in a row in August? We're doing that shit starting fucking now.

Are there any good movies on later in case this goes south again? :p
Twelve Angry Men, all about the workings of a jury (yes! It's great!) with a fabulous cast headed up by Henry Fonda, who produced. I've actually seen it about a hundred times, but others may not. TCM @ 10:00.

Set my DVR yesterday for this one - such a good movie.

TCM is pretty awesome. I’ve been making a concerted effort of late to see what’s playing there

Watching Xander this season has been everything I hoped it would be when I was dreaming about his promise in 2012/2013. This has been a really fun season for people who followed X and Devers in the minors. It's not always easy to find a bright spot, but those are two huge bright spots for us this year.

My Darling Clementine, The Grapes of Wrath and The Ox-bow Incident are superb. Henry made some good ones.
