This is going to be the modus operandi for most teams. With all the cancellations and opt-outs, "injuries" real or imagined teams are already playing with a lot of AAA and AA players. EVERY day someone makes their MLB debut. Most teams are just going to mail it in and check out the kids in action.with ERod officially out, they really cannot compete even over 60 games. with these scheduled days off to the big players, I don't think they're really trying to compete, either.
As long as this lasts, bring up the kids and see what they can do. I don't know what to do about impending FAs like JBJ, that's a mess.
I think this may be true later in the season but my perception is that currently most teams are operating the same way they would at the start of a normal season. Guys debut every day in a normal season too, especially in April. With all the cancellations and opt-outs, "injuries" real or imagined teams are already playing with a lot of AAA and AA players. If you're in a supported market, locast.org is free and legal; it's a local-station repeater that carries all the broadcast channels for the local area.
Tanaka isn’t a slop throwing pitcher.Oh great, the Red Sox get to face another slop throwing pitcher like the last night.
I have no doubt, as in zero, as in a 1000% lock he'll get shelled in his next start, but last night as is almost always the case when we play those assholes, whoever they trot out looks like a combination of Cy Young, Bob Gibson and Pedro Martinez.
