I'd like to visualize Casas playing first base for the Red Sox at some point this season.

Notable change: they are increasing the rivalry series from 4 to 6 games, and taking two games away from outside division, within league games. So two less two-game series and two less four-game series. Many of one of the two rivalry series for all teams are in the middle of May.

The breakdown is now:
-52 divisional (13 each, one 4-game series, 7th home game alternates year to year)
-48 inter league (all 3 game series, all non-rivalry home teams alternate year to year)
-62 same league, non divisional (10 teams so only need two 4 game series here, one away (TEX for Red Sox 2025) and one home (CWS for Sox 2025)

Schedule is weird. What's up with the day off in the middle of the first Baltimore series instead of a travel day?

Saving all our A's games for September. Don't mind it really, after a few years of division gauntlet there.

Seeing ATH as the shorthand for Athletics was jarring. I honestly had no idea what that meant, then I realized that next year they are literally just "Athletics".

I'm assuming it's the home opener for the Orioles. Weekday openers like that one often are followed by a "rain date" off-day when played at a non-dome.

Three separate trips to the west coast kinda sucks. Two in a five week period near the end of the season sucks more (SD, HOU in August, then AZ, ATH in Sept).

I will be at the Sox/Padres in August. Birthday weekend!

Do the Nats still do an 11am game on July 4? I know that was a thing for a little bit after they moved.
Yes, still a thing. This year all fans also got a free beer and the game was simulcast at an air base in Qatar: https://www.mlb.com/press-release/press-release-washington-nationals-celebrate-july-fourth-at-home-and-abroad

Will definitely be cool. Only downside is DC in July could be roughly equivalent to the surface of the sun (better at 11am than 1pm, probably).

These rivals series are such bullshit. Why can't those extra 3 games just go to non-divisional instead of interleague teams instead?
Are Yankees/Mets games that much of a national ratings bump?
