It's unfortunate their trip to SF is only a two-day stop in June, and not included in their long West Coast trip that starts at the end of July.

That stretch with 28-of-37 at home from mid-June through late-July seems pretty astounding. If I'm counting right, that's 6+ weeks with a total of five plane flights (excluding players scattering for the ASB).

They continue the streak of weekend games in Seattle which is nice for me.
Hmmm.... I went to Seattle in May for their weekend this season and would love to do it again, but what I see on that schedule is a midweek trip in August. :(

Four games in Anaheim at the end of July, then a trip to Seattle and back south to LA for 3 vs the Dodgers.  9-day vacation in SoCal planned.

59 of the first 100 at home and 40 (half of the road schedule) of the last 62 on the road!  A top heavy schedule for certain.

Are some travel days getting eliminated from the playoffs next year? October 2 is really late for the last scheduled day of the regular season.

It is asinine for all the interleague home games to be on weekdays, esp. Colorado and SF that are here almost never and are a long ways away. They probably do it because Fenway can draw reasonably well, good team or poor.

Sucks for Rockies and Giants fans who want to visit Fenway.

I'm sure there are plenty of other teams (say 27 of them) whose fans would prefer their team's rare visits to cities in the opposite league all occurred on weekends to allow for easier travel, but at least two teams have to play an interleague game every day of the season for the schedule to work properly, so some teams are going to get the short end.  Mid-week visits by the Rockies and Giants to Fenway is just how the schedule worked out for next year.

Gotta love that the Sox get the Braves (who are terrible) while the MFY get to play the Mets and the O's get the Nats.

Who is Toronto's "traditional rival'?

The Phillies on account of that's who's left in the NL East (Rays get the Marlins).

How quickly we forget the many years of complaining that the Sox always had to play the perennially good Braves while the Yankees got 6 easy wins against the train wreck Mets. Glad the cycle reversed for a bit, but let's not celebrate too much-the Braves may not be terrible for too many years.

Had not forgotten the years that the Braves were good;  I'm celebrating the rise of the Mets and the decline of the Braves (projected) for 2016.  I'm happy the cycle has reversed (until it does so again).

D'oh - I knew that.  Thank you, RHF, (and Google could have been my friend).

Would they fly to New York if that's the entire trip? If not, they could actually go almost a month (June 29 to July 27) without flying.

Considering it's the first series after the break, the players are going to fly into New York from all over (assuming the non-All Stars aren't going to hang around Boston for the entire four day break).  But even if they're staying in Boston, it's still a choice of a 1-hour shuttle flight versus, what, a 4-5 hour bus/car ride to NYC?  Yeah, they'll all be flying that weekend.
