Although not a VPN I use SmartDNS Proxy. It costs me less than $20 a year. It allows me to watch UK streaming sites when I’m in the US , it allows me to watch all my US sports streaming sites when I’m in Europe. Yesterday I was watching Champions League football on Paramount Plus from a beach house in the Caymans. I also use it for NFL game pass. All you do is copy and paste the number from one of their servers manually and that’s it. Because it’s a DNS there is no latency issues you sometimes experience with a VPN. The only downside is that if you are limited to the locations within the US. It’s not like a VPN where you have a bunch of cities to choose from. If for example you wanted to fool the local CBS network into thinking you are in Boston. This link shows you all the streaming services that will be unblocked. They also allow you to request a specific streaming site if it’s not listed. But I’ve never had to do that. FYI I have no affiliation to them but I have been using their service for years to get around geoblocking in various countries. It works like a charm.

I have been happy with Nord when I have needed a VPN. Very easy to use.

Configuring these to the router has me stumped....acknowledged novice in need of training here.....sigh One issue I had was the VPN software was not compatible with 64 bit....I did not realize this until exiting where that info was buried on a previous screen and not seen

thanks for the previous replies
