Just couldn't find fairways today. Always been his kiss of death. Too bad, but another year on Tour, and a good paycheck today.

He took home $103,000 this week, and almost 400k on the season. Nothing to sneeze at, that's for sure. Really happy for him, but obviously the "what could have been" is going to hurt a bit. Basically, needed to -2 today on an easy course to make another 200k or so, and play next week, plus add all of the status in the priority rankings....

-4 through 6 today to start down in Punta Cana. This would be a good event to gobble up some points. Basically an alternate even field but a with full points.

Stumbled yesterday after a hot start to shoot an even par 72. Got hot again at the right time today and shot -5 over his last 6 holes to get to -5 and inside the cut.

Might have another guy to start following, along with Rob. Evan Harmeling, who grew up in North Reading, and played at Phillips Andover, was a member and grew up at Andover CC. He won the Korn Ferry event today, in his third event of the year. Huge win for him, locks him into future events, and if he plays well, could very well pull a card next year to the Big Tour. He played at Princeton. And he did this today:

Rob off to a hot start at the Shriners, -4 through 6. Trying to chase down the Big Golfer who is in first at -6. Rob and Bryson would be an amusing pairing on the weekend.

Shot a -7 64, currently T4 and 2 behind the Big Golfer. Gotta take it deep here at the Shriners. Picking off an early top 10 or top 5 would be enormous in his pursuit of retaining his card for next year.

Evan Harmeling is -5 through 8 holes at the Korn Ferry event right now too. Good day so far for the Andover guys.

The Paris of the 80s
Funk making the cut is interesting. He was one of the oldest to win on Tour back in 2007 (age 50) and now he's one of the oldest to make a cut on tour. He joins Watson, Nicklaus, and Snead as the only to make a cut age 64 or older. Good company.

73-66 to make the cut on the number, -3. Yesterday went +3 over the final 4 holes to finish at +1. Today started his round with a birdie and was -5 for his round through 13 holes. Gave one back on his 16th, but hit the last two greens in regulation to get the 2 pars he needed. The minimum 65 players made the cut. Starts on 10 on the same course again tomorrow.

Ouch rob. Went through shot tracker and missed 8 putts from 11’ and in. Including one under 3’.

Still in fine shape, but other than a wayward drive on 9. That appears to be one of the best iron play days I have seem

Even par 72 today. Cut is going to be an uphill climb though. He was on the North Course which played a lot easier than the South. Forecast calls for brutal conditions tomorrow.
