Yeah, CShea is exactly right. Because guys missed so many events due to the pandemic, everyone is playing in every tournament they can get into, so guys at the bottom of the priority rankings like Rob are left out. He'll play any PGA events he can get into, but when he can't, he has an exemption for KFT events so he can play any of those. I was with his family last week, and they were definitely psyched about him guaranteed a card for next year, but there is also a bit of a bummed out feel for the Korn Ferry guys that could have graduated this year, and now may not get the chance, and as we've seen with Rob, those chances don't always come around....

Fighting the cut this morning. Bogeyed his first 2-holes to drop to -1, T66. Either needs to birdie one of the last 2 or have a guy drop to -1.

I’m gonna have trouble sleeping tonight, I think. Can’t imagine how he’ll be able to.

Lets go Rob!

It is amazing what one single win would do on the PGA Tour.

I noticed when he was in 1st - that brought him to a projected 42nd in FedEx cup, then tied for 2nd placed him at 145.

2 years tour card guaranteed. And 1.1M just for the win.

Fun day today at the club. We were all playing when Rob was, and I think none of us were focused on our round, and just refreshing the PGA App every 10 seconds. If he can keep his driver in play tomorrow, he'll have a chance. He's dialed in with the irons and the putter, and with it playing so soft, he isn't as overmatched by the distance. Just want a top 5 so he can play next week.

The winning score for the last 4 Wyndham Championships has alternated between -21 and -22. I don’t see why that won’t continue, the course got more rain and they’ll be playing preferred lies.I don’t have a clue what the magic number will be to get to 125. I think 64-66 today and he’ll be in business.

I’m excited and nervous and I don’t even know him. This should be a fun day. After following him all these years, I have no doubt this will be a roller coaster of an afternoon with a white knuckle finish.

Does Rob know he has all the members of a baseball forum pulling for him?
He does yes. I think he has offered to do a Q&A with us at some point when his schedule allows.

Anyways lowest round today so far is a -4, if Rob shoots any better than a 67 I will be blown away and super happy for him, no matter if that lands him first or 8th. Billy Horschel is the guy who scares me of going low and making this a race to -22

Yep, he's known about us for years. I told him about SoSH probably 10 years ago back when the alternate site, Pripyat, was following him too. He gets a big kick out of it, and he said he'd do a Q&A if we ever figured out a way to make it work.

All I want is a good round, and him being in the field next week. That alone would be life changing, because he'd have better priority status next year than he's ever had, can schedule his whole year out, etc.

My 12 year old wants to go play golf so bad right now, and I told him we have to skip today to watch Rob. If you bet Rob yesterday before the round to win the tournament, the odds were 90:1. Let's just say if Rob wins today, our club bookie is probably going to need to get a real job.

Is it unkind that Rob hasn't even teed off yet, and I'm sitting here yelling "Noonan" and hoping everyone chunks and shanks everything between now and then? I've got no shame. I'll be just fine if everyone in the field shoots 100 and Rob wins by 1 shot.

I’m doing the same thing. Breathed a sigh of relief when Webb Simpson airmailed 1.

3 wood on the 1st tee, finds the fairway. Kim did not.

A par on 1 would be a good way to calm some nerves, but he's also been tearing up the first 6 holes all week, so I have no idea what I want anymore.

The 1st hole was Live on golf channel. They both made par on 2, both with makeable birdie putts (Kim was about 3 feet)....

And Dottie is walking with Rob. I suspect she'll be rooting for him.
